ALEX PORTNER (1920-1982) COUPLE EMBRACING UPON A BED Lithograph, on grey paper, signed and numbered 1/75 36.5 x 48cm.; with six further lithograph prints on light-hearted themes, each signed and numbered from editions of 50 or 75, titles to include `La Belle Helene`, `Les Belles et le Beau`, `St. James London`, `The Guardian` etc, various sizes (7) * Portner was born in Berlin in 1920, to a Russian mother and a Polish Jewish father. He studied under Max Klaus in Berlin, under Hans Thiemann in Leipzig and also in Paris and Amsterdam before fleeing to England in 1939 to serve in the British army throughout the war. Portner exhibited widely in London in the 1960's and at galleries in South Africa and America. ++ Principal item good, the others with some staining, creases etc (each only fair)

A Solitaire Diamond Ring, a round brilliant cut diamond in an extended claw setting to a tapering shank, estimated diamond weight 0.40 carat approximately, finger size TThe ring is in good condition. There is light surface wear to the shank. It is stamped '18CT' and in our opinion would test as gold. The diamond has a surface reaching fracture to the table. The diamond measures 5.05mm x 4.99mm x 2.42mm approximately. The approximate qualities of the diamond are; colour H/I, clarity SI2/I1. Gross weight 4.2 grams. A Solitaire Diamond Stick Pin, an old cut diamond in a milgrain setting within a circular frame, estimated diamond weight 0.33 carat approximately, a Seed Pearl and Blue Enamel Sword Pattern Stick Pin and a Seed Pearl Cluster Stick Pin (3)The stick pins are in good condition. There is loss to the blue enamel of the sword stick pin and light wear to the seed pearls. The approximate qualities of the diamond are; colour H/I, clarity SI1/SI2. Gross weight 5.3 grams. A Victorian Amethyst, Citrine and Seed Pearl Snake Brooch, and oval centre formed of a calibré cut citrine between two amethyst within a seed pearl coiled snake motif frame, with a glazed locket back, measures 2.5cm by 3.5cm The brooch is in good condition. There is one seed pearl deficient from the tip of the snake's nose and general light wear and discolouration to the seed pearls. It fastens with a pin and c-hook with a safety chain. A Victorian Turquoise Bracelet, formed of open work milgrain links set at intervals with turquoise, length 19cm approximately The bracelet is in good condition. There is an old repair noted to one turquoise set connector link with traces of lead solder. There is some very light discolouration noted to a few turquoise. It is stamped '15CT' and in our opinion would test as gold. It fastens with a box and tongue clasp and features a safety chain. Gross weight 12.8 grams. Condition Report made 31st May 2017.
A Georgian Flat Cut Garnet Brooch, vari-cut garnets in closed back collet settings as a foliate motif cross, measures 6.5cm by 6.5cm There is one 'bead' deficient from one 'cross' end. Some light surface scratching noted to some garnets. Fastens with a pin and c-hook. Gross weight 16.8 grams. Condition Report made 1st December 2017.
Two Shagreen Pair Cases, Two Tortoiseshell Pair Cases, Repousse Outer Case, Plain Outer Case, Quantity of late 19th/20th century Watch Keys, including two Breguet type ratchet keys, one New York University 1937 Engineering pendant stamped 10k, bloodstone set watch key and two watch movements 28.12.17, Outer pair cases are worn in pairs, shagreen surfaces with pieces missing and rubbed, tortoiseshell cases with cracks and tortoiseshell missing in parts, tortoiseshell cases with pique pins missing in parts, repousse case back is rubbed and small splits are visible when holding the case to the light, watch keys are worn.
An 18 Carat Gold Turquoise, Opal and Seed Pearl Ring, an oval cabochon turquoise in a rubbed over setting, within a border of seed pearls, to pierced scroll shoulders each set with an opal, finger size L The ring is in good condition. The turquoise is discoloured green and there is light wear to the seed pearls, the shank is slightly thin. It is hallmarked with maker's mark 'WGM', Chester, 1923. Gross weight 3.4 grams. A Seed Pearl Bird Brooch, modelled as five birds above a seed pearl set crescent, measures 2cm by 5.5cm The brooch is in good to fair condition. There is light wear and discolouration to the seed pearls. The tip of the birds wing is bent over slightly. Two outer birds are of darker colouration to the rest. It is stamped '15CT' and in our opinion would test as gold. It fastens with a pin and c-hook. Gross weight 5.3 grams. Condition Report made 5th December 2017.
A Pair of Coral Cameo Earrings, each oval cameo carved in high relief with a classical female bust, suspended from chains to hook fittings, length 2cm The earrings are in good condition, there is light wear and softening to the edges of the coral cameos. They are not hallmarked or stamped but in our opinion would test as gold. Gross weight 1.8 grams. Condition Report made 7th December 2017.
An Egyptian Revival Coral and Ceramic Bead Suite; comprising a Necklace, Bracelet and A Pair of Clip Earrings, formed of rows of blue ceramic and coral barrel beads connected by jump rings with bead drops and filigree panels, necklace length 39.5cm, bracelet length 18cm, earring length 5cm (3)The suite is in good condition with light wear to the coral, ceramic and bell beads. It is not hallmarked or stamped but in our opinion would test as brass. Condition Report made 22nd December 2017.
A George V Silver Four Piece Tea Service, Mahoah Rhodes, Sheffield, 1930, circular with a band of engraved decoration to rim, foot and cover, ivory handles and finials, the teapot 16.5cm high, 62.9ozt (4)All marks clearly struck and legible, some rubbing to the maker's mark on sugar bowl. Covers part marked. Some cracks appearing in the ivory handles and finials. The peices are of a good gauge. Some light scratching and general signs of wear.
A Victorian Scottish Hardstone Plaid Brooch, set with hardstone plaques and citrine cabochons, measures 5cm by 4cm, A Paste Set Ptarmigan Brooch and A Citrine Brooch (3)The hardstone plaid brooch is in good condition. It is stamped with a Victorian diamond trade mark indicating the brooch is made of metal (in our opinion would test of silver), bundle 3, dated 29th March 1873. The other brooches are in good condition with light general wear, the tips of the ptarmigan claws are chipped. Condition Report made 8th December 2017.
An Enamelled Equine Portrait Crop Brooch, measures 2.5cm by 6.5cm The brooch is in good condition, the circular plaque is later applied and one screw is loose. The enamel is in good condition with very light surface scratching. The circular plaque is stamped 18CT and the crop is stamped 15CT. It fastens with a safety pin clasp. Gross weight 9.3 grams. EARLY 19TH CENTURY ENGLISH SCHOOL; a pair of oval portrait miniatures 'Lord Horatio Nelson' and 'Emma Hamilton', mounted in an elaborate gilt frame with twin hinged doors and pierced foliate border stamped 'Toulmin & Gale, 7 New Bond St, London', each miniature 8 x 5cm, the frame 21.25 x 16cm. CONDITION REPORT: The hinged back is a replacement, very light surface wear to the gilt decoration, there is a small break to the bottom right hand corner of the frame. The miniatures themselves are in good order and are protected by the doors.
An early 20th century Bing O gauge tinplate loco, no.0-35, with clockwork mechanism and light bulb to front, painted in black and red livery, length approx 21cm, with matching tender and a quantity of O gauge track including Bing cross section and further Gamage straights and curves. CONDITION REPORT: In playworn condition throughout. Some chips to the paint work. Core mechanism appears OK although it has not been tested.

CONDITION REPORT: All playworn, areas of discolouration and chips to the finish, some attention required.

CONDITION REPORT: Postage to the USA for this lot would be approximately £109 + VAT depending on the final hammer price. Parts move freely, light surface wear but overall good.
