Lot 129

Deactivated 12 bore side by side hammergun / shotgun by Scott of London, 30 inch barrels, scroll engraved actions, serial number 3756. Deactivated to current EU/UK specifications, no certificate present but the correct proof stamps are. No licence required to purchase. Buyer must be over the age of 18.118cm long The shotgun dates to around 1880 -1890 and shows signs of this age. The metal finish is mostly worn away and there is some light surface pitting in places. The barrels have signs of riveling to them. The hammers move back and forward under spring tension but will not cock or dry fire. The action can be opened but not taken apart. There is signs of heat from welding to the actions as part of the deactivation process. The stock has been sanded and refinished, the chequering is mostly worn away, the lock plates stand proud of the surface due to this sanding. One hammer has been reduced in size, its retaining screw replaced. The escutcheon front trigger and the barrel wedge have been replaced.

Buyer must be over the age of 18, photo ID will be required if this lot is to be posted out.125cm longThe rifle is worn throughout but has a pleasing feel to it. The bore is good with a strong rifling pattern. The action works correctly. The metalwork has some light scratches dents and light pitting. The butt stock has an oval filled repair to both sides. There are glued repairs to either side of the forend around the rear cross pin. There are lots of dents and scratches.

Lot 28

Flintlock light dragoon type pistol, Flintlock light dragoon type pistol, 9 inch .650 calibre barrel, Tower GR lock, full stock with brass furniture and replaced wood ramrod. Section 58 (2) Antique / obsolete calibre, can be owned without a licence. Buyer must be over the age of 18, age verification will be required if the lot is to be posted out.37cm long The pistol is made of old parts but shows signs of alterations and repairs during its life. The metalwork has a dark pitted overall patina. The action does not work as the sear will not engage the tumbler, the trigger does not feel like it is in contact properly with the sear and it does not have a sprung feel and when squeezed stays in the rearward position. The barrel is heavily pitted and worn inside and outside, the touch hole has been bushed, this possibly indicates that the gun has been reconverted back from percussion. The hammer screw is a replacement. There is some filler around the trigger guard and it is a little loose in fitting indicating that this might be a replacement. There is a crack to the ramrod pipe and the ramrod is a new replacement. The stock has repaired splits to the forend as well as the grip. There are some wood filler repairs.

Lot 140

Two air pistols Two air pistols, including a Gamo .177 underlever pistol serial number 0292723, and a Diana G4 series 70 boxed .177 air pistol. No licence required to buy this item, purchaser must be over the age of 18. Cannot be posted to a private address and must be sent to a Registered Firearms Dealer.The box measures 37.5cm long. Both pistols cock and release correctly. The washer to the breach end of the barrel on the Diana appears in good order, an image has been uploaded showing this. The bluing on the Diana is generally good with some light surface speckling. The wood has some scratches and dents, there are two holes, one to the back to the pistol grip, just below the cocking lever and one to the base of the grip. These holes are chewed up around the edges. The corners of the box lid have torn open in two places, there are some pellet holes to the lid as well as biro score tallies to the inside lid. The Gamo has a good general metal finish. There is a chipped and missing part of the forend where one screw hole is. This has been caused by the screw being over tightened and causing the piece of plastic to split away. There are some surface scratches, dents and marks generally to the plastic grips and the muzzle device.

Buyer must be over the age of 18, age verification will be required if the lot is to be posted out. 18.5cm long The pistol is in good general condition with small signs of age. There are some small losses or flaking to the plating and some light scratches but it is generally good.The cylinders are dark and dirty with some pitting marks but would probably clean up.The action works correctly with good timing and lock up and a positive feel.The wood grips have dents and scratches one has a short but stable crack.

Ithaca 10 bore semi automatic shotgun LICENCE REQUIRED Ithaca 10 bore semi automatic shotgun, 32inch barrel, serial number 100008366. UK SHOTGUN LICENCE OR RFD REQUIRED14.25" LOPThe shotgun is in good general condition showing light signs of wear to the metal finish and wood stock. The bore is bright and shiny with no signs of pitting, the barrel is free from dents but there are a couple of very tiny specks of surface corrosion. The gun has had a very recent proof at Birmingham, whilst we haven't tried the action with live rounds, we know from the proofing it will fire a round. We do not have the correct size rounds to run through the action to confirm the gun will cycle correctly however we so no obvious signs of damage or fault to the action mechanism. The stock is free from splits or cracks, there are some small dents and scratches. There is a vacant hole to the underside of the butt stock which is perhaps for a sling swivel.The 10 bore is fixed choke, I am not totally sure what choke it is but the end of the muzzle measures .759" against a proof dimension of 19.7mm (.775") therefore has a restriction of 0.016" which online is described as 'Modified' and in the middle of the choke chart.

The spring catch works correctly although the spring has a tendency to ride up slightly when worked and may be a replacement. The brass has some very light scuffs and scratches. The leather is in good order and all the seams are intact. There are a few small scuffs and stains as can be seen in the online images but no thin or worn-through parts.

Hayward, 9inch .650 carbine bore barrel, border line engraved lock with roller frizzen, full length stock with brass furniture and pineapple finial trigger guard. Section 58 (2) Antique / obsolete calibre, can be owned without a licence. Buyer must be over the age of 18, age verification will be required if the lot is to be posted out.37cm long The pistol is in fair condition with a nice patina. The metalwork to the exterior of the gun has some very light pitting. The barrel has been re-browned. The bore has some pitting but would improve with polishing. The action cocks and releases with a strong spring. The hole which the frizzen retaining bolt passes through has a piece missing. The stock has the typical crack between the side nail and the barrel channel, there is also a short split to the wood around the lock plate area. There is a split to the stock underneath the ramrod channel and the barrel channel. The ramrod pipes have small losses from significant polishing. There are a few dents and marks to the wood stock as well as small oil stains which can be seen from the images. The ramrod has a worm to one end, the horn cap has small damages.

Buyer must be over the age of 18, age verification will be required if the lot is to be posted out.35cm long The pistol is in fair condition with a dark patina and signs of age. The bores and chambers have light surface pitting throughout and show a light rifling pattern, there is some surface corrosion and dirt which needs cleaning up. The exteriors of the barrels have lost all the finish and have some pitting marks. The action locks up tightly and the barrels are on face. Both actions cock and release, they have three positions of the hammer; 1-just slightly lifted to allow for the pin, 2 - half cock, and 3- full cock. The left hand action is missing stage 1 and jumps straight to half cock. The metal finish throughout has some light overall pitting which is heavier in places such as the screw heads which hold the hammers on. The forend has a short split running from the right hand barrel wedge plate to the edge. There is also a split to the wood running between the top of the left hand action up to the top tang.

The leather holster has some scratches and scuffs. The belt hoops have been replaced.

The stock is worn throughout and there are dents, marks oil stains and scratches. There are no splits or repairs.

Fitted with a bipod. UK RFD OR A FIREARMS LICENCE WITH CORRECT VARIATION 7.62mm RIFLE REQUIRED TO BUY THIS LOT.126cm long The rifle is in good general condition. The bore is bright and shiny with a fairly good rifling that has softened around the throat area. The action works correctly with a positive lock up. The bolt face has a light primer pocket ring to it. There is some very light speckling and pitting to the polish of the bolt. The blue finish has very light wear. The wood stock is free from splits or repairs. There are very minor occasional dents and scratches but nothing defacing. The grip of the stock and around the action has a darker patina to it from use, there are some very light vice jaw impressions to the forend. Some screw heads show signs of being worked. The butt plate has probably been replaced as it is a little proud around the edges.

The action works with a strong mainspring, the nipple has been replaced. The bore is good with only very light pitting. The barrel has been rebrowned and re-engraved London. There is some pitting marks to all the metalwork throughout, some parts such as the lower ramrod pipe and the trigger guard have a fair amount of wear to them. The stock has been fairly well cleaned up and has a dark satin finish to it. There are two spliced in pieces of wood to the thinnest part of the forend where it meets the barrel. The stock has some oil stains, scratches and light dents. There is a polished down screw head and surround to the underside of the butt perhaps where a sling swivel was once present.

The bore is dark and dirty but a crisp rifling pattern is still present. The moderator is jammed on and cannot be removed by hand. The metal finish has some light scuffs and marks as does the stock. A nonoriginal rubber kick pad has been added and there are small scuff marks from fitting around the heel of the butt. The scope adjusts and presents a clear picture. There is some small areas of wear and scratches to the finish.

British Royal Armoured corps helmet British Royal Armoured corps helmet, with netting cover the interior liner stamped CCL 11 1945 and 7.The helmet is in reasonable condition considering age and usage. Some paint chips and corrosion spots are scattered around, more frequently seen around the rim which has some light dents and impressions. The top of the helmet has some longer scratches and light dents. The netting all appears complete but the threads are separating out at the ends around the edge of the helmet. The netting is secured around the perimeter of the helmet by a rifle green colour cord. This does not appear to be original. The strap has some faults to the edges and some rust stains. The liner is all present but the surface is crazing in areas with small patches of flaking to the black revealing the canvas layer below. The liner is tied up with a non original looking shoe lace.

The butt plate has been replaced and there are small file marks to the wood and the plastic plate from fitting.

UK SHOTGUN LICENCE OR RFD REQUIRED. 13" LOP The shotgun has done a fair amount of work and is in average general condition with signs of use. The barrels ring when tapped.There are no dents visible to the tubes, there is a dent to the top rib, between the fifth vent along. The barrels are in proof.The bores are clean and free from pitting.The blacking to the barrels is in good order with only slight wear and catches. There is very light corrosion to the polished areas of the chamber, the same can be seen around the action generally. The barrels are on face and tight on the action with no wobble with the forend removed.The actions function correctly with snap caps.The stock is free from splits or repairs, there are occasional scratches and dents from use but nothing defacing. There are some small dents to the trigger guard, obviously, the last owner of the gun wore a ring that has left some small impressions. The trigger guard itself is slightly loose.

The Cadet stock has probably been sanded as the BSA logo is faint. There are lots of dents, scratches and marks to both stocks as can be seen from the multiple images online.

The bore is bright and shiny with a decent rifling pattern that is only just softening around the edges. There is a strange patch of pitting over the maker mark on the side of the action, perhaps a label or sticker has been here which has allowed moisture to attack the surface, there are scattered patches of light pitting throughout the gun. The stock has an inlet piece of wood beside the barrel band and a wood plug on the other side. The upper hand guard is missing from the rifle and the holes for the clips have been filled in. Some screw heads show signs of being worked.

The bore has a good strong rifling pattern with sharp edges. There is very light speckling to the bore generally that can be seen on the outside of the frame. As can be seen in the online images, the gun has some light surface pitting and speckling in scattered places. There are some light surface scratches and dents to the nickel plated surface. The action both double and single work correctly with a strong spring and the cylinder indexes. The cylinder has around an 1/8th inch play side to side when the hammer is cocked. The grips have some wear and there is a very short split to the base on the right side and a dent to the left hand side.

Buyer must be over the age of 18, age verification will be required if the lot is to be posted out.118cm longThe gun is in average condition but in need of repair work. The metalwork to the exterior of the gun has some light overall pitting, this is heavier in places such as the butt plate and patches of the barrel. The bores have pitting throughout which might improve but is probably too deep to fully lap out. The exteriors of the barrels are worn and the engraving is not as sharp as it once was. There is some impression marks to the top of the barrel from the hammers being dropped without a cartridge in the chambers. The barrels are on face. The actions cock and release with strong springs and a positive feel. One hammer is a very very close match but not the original. The stock has a break at the wrist and the actions are pertruding due to this break. There are no other cracks or splits but the woodwork is quite worn and the chequering is low, there are some small dents and scratches. There is a chip to the thin edge of the forend.

Photo ID will be required if the lot is to be posted out. 30cm long Pulling the trigger moves the cylinder but the hammer will not cock or dry fire. The gun shows small signs of wear, it may have been reblued. The grips have light dents.

The bluing has largely worn and there is some corrosion and light pitting. The bore has some pitting marks. The action works in single mode but the double action needs some attention to work correctly. The cylinder rotates and fairly reliably indexes.The second revolver is in poor non working condition.

Buyer must be over the age of 18 and ID will be requested if the gun is to be posted out to a home address.117cm longThe gun is in average condition but needs some cleaning and light restoration to look its best. The metalwork to the exterior of the gun has some light pitting. This is more so on the barrels, trigger guard and butt plate than it is on the locks. There are cororsion patches scattered throughout. There is a patch of thick corriosion to the tops of the barrels just ahead of the nipples. There are no obvious dents to the sides of the barrels but there is a small dent and rough patch to the muzzles which needs tapping back down and maybe careful filing. The bores are dark, dirty and look to have some surface corrosion, they would improve with cleaning and careful polishing but there may be some underlying pitting. The barrel rib looks to be all inplace with no signs of lifting. The barrel wedge has some distortions to the edges of the head where a screwdriver has been used to pry it out. The ram rod is a replacement and lacks the horn tip. The actions cock and release with strong springs. The stock is free from splits or cracks, there are some small dents and scratches. The right hand side of the forend has some chipping and shallow losses to the thin edge.

Birmingham nitro proofs. UK FIREARMS LICENCE WITH .303 VARIATION OR RFD REQUIRED. 112cm long The rifle is in good general condition. The bore is good with a strong rifling pattern. The action works correctly with a positive lock up. The serial numbers match. There is slight wear and some scratches to the bluing and light surface corrosion to the polished parts. The bolt face has a light primer pocket ring to it.  The stock is free from splits or repairs, there are occasional scratches and dents as well as the odd oil stain from use but nothing defacing. There is a very short hairline to the upper hand guard which typically can have a split. It remains stable.

UK SHOTGUN LICENCE OR RFD REQUIRED.1`4.5" LOP The gun shows signs of a fair amount of use. The barrels ring when tapped.There are no dents visible to the tubes but the top rib has three very light impression marks, it is still straight to sight down. The barrels are in proof and the bores are clean and free from pitting.The blacking to the barrels is in good order with only slight wear, there is some light surface speckled corrosion spots. The barrels are on face and tight on the action with no wobble with the forend removed.The actions generally function with snap caps although it is a little hesitant to fire when the selector has been moved from bottom barrel first to top barrel first. The stock is free from splits or repairs, there are quite a few scratches and dents from use but nothing defacing. There is a fair amount of finish wear. The top leaver has a colour change to it from polished to blued, this indicates a working repair to this component.
