16th Light Dragoons (Lancers) Crimean Victorian Officer’s lance cap plate circa 1846-55.A very fine and exceedingly scarce example. Gilt triangular rayed plate mounted with the Royal Arms with full mantling in silver surmounted by a scroll inscribed “QUEENS”. Beneath the Royal Arms, 13 battle honours set on flowing scrolls. 17th Lancers Victorian Officer’s lance cap plate circa 1856-60.An extremely fine and scarce example. Triangular, rayed, fire gilt plate mounted with the Royal Arms in silver, Death’s Head on “OR GLORY” motto with “SEVENTEENTH LANCERS” scroll below. Laurel sprays either side bear “ALMA INKERMAN BALACLAVA SEVASTOPOL”. Two screw posts to reverse with two sewing holes. VGC Crimean honours granted 16.10.1855. “Central India” added in 1860. 25.10.1854 took part in the famous “Charge of the light Brigade”.
87th (Royal Irish Fusiliers) Regiment of Foot Victorian pre 1855 Officer’s shoulder belt plate.A very fine and scarce large example. Mounted on a rich seeded gilt rectangular plate with burnished edges, a large gilt flaming grenade; mounted on the ball, an eagle on a plinth inscribed ’8’. Reverse retains original two hooks two studs. VGCThe eagle represents the Eagle on the flagstaff of the 8th French Light Infantry captured by Sergeant Patrick Masterson of the 87th Fusiliers at Barossa on 5th March 1811.

Crowned star mounted with laurel and palm sprays, Sphinx on “EGYPT” and coiled bugle with ‘90’ to centre. Three of the star points bear battle honours “MANDORA GUADALOUPE MARTINIQUE”. Two loops to reverse. Attractively framed and glazed with identifying plaque many years ago by the Parker Gallery.

14th King’s Hussars Victorian post 1861 Officer’s Sabretache.A good scarce example, the scarlet cloth face edged with gold lace with central cream silk line and richly embroidered with large crowned VR Cypher with regimental Eagle in “star” nestling within laurel sprays bearing padded blue velvet cushion scrolls, bearing the Regimental Battle Honours. Tan leather backing and wallet to reverse; complete with three suspension D rings. Old trade label to inside of wallet “Hawkes & Co. No 14 Piccadilly”. One moth hole to right of crown and light mothing to the scarlet ground cloth, bullion toned and minor stitching faults.14th Light Dragoons granted the Prussian Eagle and title “Duchess of York’s Own” in 1798. In 1830, on William’s accession, the title changed to The 14th (The King’s) Light Dragoons. Converted to Hussars in 1861 when this pattern of sabretache was introduced.

WW1 61st Reconnaissance Regiment North West Europe Campaign Group of Medals & Ephemera.A good and scarce “Recce” Regiment attributed group awarded to Corporal Edward Nash a pre war territorial of the Ox & Bucks Light Infantry who was lifted from the beaches of Dunkirk and returned to Europe as a member of 61st Recce Royal Armoured Corps. Comprising: 1939/45 Star, France & Germany Star, Defence Medal, War Medal, Territorial Efficiency Medal, “5384868 CPL E NASH RECCE REGT”. The group remains mounted as originally worn. .... These are complimented by a group of four post war European Commemorative medals, including the Dunkirk Medal. These with certificates. .... Recce Corps Plastic Cap Badge, with blades. ... Reconnaissance cloth shoulder title. ... Plus photographs and ephemera.Corporal Edward Nash was a pre war Territorial serving with the Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry. He was mobilised on the 2nd September 1939 and found himself serving with the BEF in France. Evacuated he remained with the Regiment in the UK until he transferred to the Royal Armoured Corps in 1941. Amongst the papers is a 61st Recce Order of the Day 5th February 1945, plus Old Comrades Association newsletter 1980 gives biographical details stating he served with C Squadron 184th Inf Bde Anti Tank Company.
3rd Bn 95th Rifles Waterloo Medal, The smallest Battalion present at Wellington’s Victory.Awarded to “**RICHARD LIGHT 3RD BATT 95TH REGT FOOT” The medal mounted with a contemporary straight ribbon bar, decorated with representation of musket balls.Private Richard Light enlisted into the 95th Rifles in January 1814 and appears to have been garrisoned at Shorncliffe. In November 1814 he embarked to Flanders and in March 1815 at Menin he was posted to the 3rd Company. He is confirmed as serving with the 3/95th Rifles at Waterloo in Captain James Fullerton’s Company, who deployed behind the Chateau of Hougoumont and would suffer heavy casualties. He is reported as being wounded in the left during the Netherlands campaign, or most likely at Waterloo. Confirmed on the Waterloo Medal Roll sometimes spelt “Laight”. The 3rd Bn of the 95th could only muster two companies, the majority of the Battalion serving in America.

Comprising: 1914 Star, “PLY 16508 PTE G COLLINS R.M. BRIGADE”, British War Medal, Victory Medal “PTE RMLI”. Private George Collins was born in Cork and enlisted into the RMLI in December 1913. He is confirmed as serving with the Royal Marine Brigade embarking in September 1914. He was Killed in Action on the 2nd July 1915 and now rests in Skew Bridge Cemetery. Turkey.

Indian Army. 7th Madras Light Cavalry 1862 Captain’s Commission.A good example to George Travis Radcliffe, signed by George (Field Marshal HRH George Duke of Cambridge, Commander in Chief, son of Queen Victoria) and de Grey Ripon (later Viceroy); complete with blue paper seals. Framed and glazed with biographical details. GCGeorge Travis Radcliffe 1825-1904. Educated at Rugby, had a distinguished military career involving various actions in the Indian Mutiny (Medal and clasp) culminating in being promoted a full General in 1888.
2nd Royal Tower Hamlets Militia Victorian Officer’s quilted shako.A good scarce example of dark blue cloth; around to top of the crown, a band of 3/4 inch silver lace with blackened gorgon’s head at the back; around the base, a narrow patent leather band with buckle on the reverse; patent leather peak. To the front, a silver eight pointed star, the topmost point displaced by a crown; mounted on the star, a pierced gilt circlet inscribed “THE QUEEN’S OWN LIGHT INFANTRY”; to the centre, a gilt crowned strung bugle on a lined ground. Wool tuft, sweatband, chinstrap and lining absent; lace dull, plate heavily tarnished. Cork body remains firm.Became 5th Battalion Rifle Brigade in 1881

The interior retains original paper tailor’s label of Hobson & Sons of London and pencil name “Warburton”. VGC.
German Third Reich NSKK Model 1936 chained dagger by FW Höller, Solingen.A good scarce nickel mounted example. The plated double edged blade bears etched motto “Alles für Deutchland” and RZM logo over M7/33. Brown wooden grip with inlaid silvered eagle and swastika and enamelled SA circular device. The crossguard stamped “Nm”. Housed in brown anodised scabbard with plated mounts. Complete with chains bearing mobile swastikas, SA device and central triangle links, one link marked RZM M5/8 (Assmann & Söhne, Lüdenscheid) on reverse, another marked “MUSTERSCHUTZ NSKK-KORPSFUHRING”. Oakleaf ornamented spring clip. Slight service wear and light surface rust to scabbard.

The forte with the cutler’s details of “CES Gibb Bristol Sword & Gun Maker” The hilt of the regulation pattern with shagreen grip. Housed in metal scabbard fitted with two loose rings. Overall GC, but with dulling and light service rust to scabbard and hilt.
1788 Light Cavalry Officer’s Sword.A good example, the single edged 35 1/2 inch curved blade with engraved of a mounted cavalry Officer and floral decoration. The back of the blade stamped “EGG”. The hilt of regulation pattern with single bar guard and ribbed grip. Housed in steel and leather scabbard. Overall GC.
1821 Light Cavalry Yeomanry Troopers Sword.A good and scarce example, the plain 35 inch single edged blade is stamped to the back edge “Reeves & Co.” and number 288. The hilt with three bar open guard, with leather covered grip with ears. Housed in steel scabbard with two loose rings. The scabbard engraved “Q.O.R.Y.C. 26”. GC.The engraving to the scabbard may indicate Queen’s Own Regiment Yeomanry Cavalry, which is part title of both the Dorset and Worcestershire Yeomanry Cavalry.
Georgian 1796 Light Cavalry Officer’s Sword.This example of small proportions, possibly carried by a cornet of a regiment. The plain single edged blade is a length of approximately 27 inches. The grip with single bar guard, the grip with shagreen and twist wire binding. Housed in original steel scabbard with two loose rings. Overall GC both scabbard and hilt of matching dark patina.
Napoleonic War Period 1803 Infantry Pattern Light Company or Rifle Officer’s Sword.A rare and fine example, the 29 inch blade retain half length blue and gilt decoration (approx. 85% present”. This depicts a crowned GR cypher, Britannia and Stand of Arms. The forte with cutler’s details of “GIBSON THOMSON & CRAIG’S WARRANTED”. The hilt is the regulation pattern, the fire gilt bar guard with crowned GR cypher, this surmounted by a strung bugle. The leather grip with twist wire binding and surmounted by a lion head pommel. Housed in black leather and gilt mounted scabbard. Middle mount slides leather remains good but some age wear. The overall condition is good gilt to blade and hilt bright, one bar of the cross guard cracked.

Crown resting on a scroll “QUEEN MARY’S OWN”, over laurel sprays. Central Maltese cross bearing ‘127’ resting within a crescent; arms bearing honours. Four screw posts to reverse with hallmarked hooped nuts (one hoop absent), complete with backing plate with matching hallmarks. VGC

UK Quad "Style-C" poster for "You Only Live Twice" (1967). Of the three different style general release Quad posters produced for the film, the "Style-C" is most difficult poster to find. Whereas "action" is the key selling point of the two Frank McCarthy designed Quads, McGinnis focuses on Bond's sex appeal with his poster design.
