FATIMID, AL-MUSTANSIR (427-487h). Dinar, al-Mahdiya 455h. WEIGHT: 3.69g. REFERENCE: Nicol 2231. CONDITION: Light crease, good fine to almost very fine and rare. Nicol records three different varieties of dinars struck at al-Mahdiya in this year, all of which are rare. As this type was also used for dinars struck there in the two subsequent years, it was probably the last of the three to be used in 455h.
