All requisite issue points present: the title page gives the author as 'J. A Rowling'; the copyright page states 'Joanne Rowling'; full number line, '10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1'; '1 wand' appears twice in the list on p. 53. Internally very good, clean & bright, faint fold-lines to lower corners of first leaves, covers with light handling marks, light creasing at lower corners, faint ghost impression of handwriting at centre of upper cover. Very scarce. NB. The first appearance in print of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. 'An unconfirmed print-run of 200 copies is generally accepted.' [Errington, AA1 (a)] Provenance: Purchased by St Kenelm's COE Primary School, Minster Lovell, Oxfordshire from the Red House bookshop in Witney, 1997.
