Lot 961

NICK DRAKE - PINK MOON LP (ORIGINAL UK PRESSING - ISLAND ILPS 9184). Working our way backwards in time with the sadly final LP from Nick Drake, just 24 when he recorded this LP. The record (ILPS 9184, Island pink rim) is in stunning Ex+ or archive condition showing very few discernible markings indicating this copy has seldom been played. Matrix: ILPS 9184 A-1U & B-1U. Complete with original UK blue Island inner. The sleeve ('Printed and made by Tinsley Robor Group Ltd.') is in Ex+ condition. Always tricky to find a nice example due to the matte nature of it, this copy is simply put superb. Only a couple of extremely faint and light creases around the edges are noted.

Lot 962

NICK DRAKE - BRYTER LAYTER LP (ORIGINAL UK PRESSING - ISLAND ILPS 9134). A stunning copy of Drake's mesmerising 1970 LP - this the 1st UK pressing on Island (ILPS 9134 with STEREO on labels and no brackets around track titles). The record is in superb Ex+ or archive condition - very few markings are noted even under intense LED lighting. Matrix: ILPS 9134 A-1U/B-1U. Complete with original Patent No 11 2555 55 inner. The sleeve is in Ex+ condition. Given the textured nature of the design we are always going to see some light wear; this copy only shows extremely light 'ringwear' and a some very minor edgewear. Another terrific copy.

Lot 963

NICK DRAKE - FIVE LEAVES LEFT LP (ORIGINAL UK PRESSING - ISLAND ILPS 9184). Where it all began then for Nick Drake, who recorded this album under the keen eye of Joe Boyd when he was just 20 years old. This is a stunning example 1st UK pressing (Island black 'block' smooth labels ILPS 9105 and misprint sleeve with tracks A4 and A5 switched and 'Tristam Fry' credit). The record is in mind blowing Ex+ or archive condition. Barring some light dust build-up, there are no discernible markings. The distinct lack of spindle markings leads us to believe that this could very well be a true 'unplayed' copy. Matrix: ILPS 9105 A//2 & B//2. The gatefold sleeve is in Ex+ condition. Unlikely to come across finer, the matte nature of the design means that is effectively impossible to see without any markings. This copy is superb with only a couple of very minor visible markings on the front and some very slight and minor shelf wear. A stunner.
