Fine and rare Omega Speedmaster 'Ed White' Pre-Moon chronograph stainless steel gentleman's wristwatch, ref. S 105 003-64, movement serial no. 2282xxxx, circa 1965, tachymeter bezel, matt black dial with chronograph centre seconds, baton markers and triple subsidiary dials, cal. 321 17 jewel movement with inner cap, original 7912 bracelet dated '1.65' with '6' end links, bezel 40mm; with Omega pouch and service related papers.  *In 1965 Edward Higgins 'Ed' White (1930-1967) was the first American to 'walk in space'. The Omega 105.003 has been coined the 'Ed White' as it was on the wrist of White during this historic milestone in space exploration.  The production period of the 105.003 was very short, lasting around three years from 1963. In 1966 it was superseded by the 'Professional' ref.105.012 famously worn on the moon in 1969.  Condition Report: Movement - currently working with chronograph resetting correctly. Dial - staining to the baton markings. Glass - appears good. Hands - staining to the lume on each as expected for the period. Bezel - visible signs of general wear with some enamel loss.
