Ouless, Philip John Scenic Beauties of the Island of Jersey, exhibited in a series of views from the drawings of a native artist, to Which Is a Concise Notice, Explanatory & Descriptive of Each Portion of Scenery Portrayed, by the Rev. Edward Durell, pub. No.8 Royal Square, St. Helier, 1840, 21 lithographed plates and pictorial title by Ouless, some foxing, contemporary quarter red morocco with marbled boards and gilt title plate, folio, lacks double-page panorama of St. Aubin's Bay. *Condition: Heavy foxing to twelve of the plates (inc. title) and lighter foxing to the remainder. Also foxing and dark edge staining to end papers. Small loss from edge of two plates. Covers with heavy corner and spine wear to morocco, light water mark towards top of cover. Cover and borders of back cover sunned. Spine bumped.

A French 19th century gilt bronze and cut glass three light electrolier with twist and acanthus cast central column to three cast scrolling branches with cone surmounts, each suspending 18 elongated cut glass droplets, cone finial, maximum drop 28in. (71.2cm.). *Condition: Gilt dulled throughout and some light gilt loss/rubbing throughout, will need rewire, overall good.
A CLEAN GVR HIGHLAND LIGHT INFANTRY OFFICER'S SWORD, 82cm fullered blade by Wilkinson, serial no. 47261, etched with scrolling thistle sprays, crowned HIGHLAND LIGHT INFANTRY and crowned GVR cypher, regulation plated basket hilt composed of flattened rounded bars united by heart-pierced junction plates, wire bound fishskin grip, contained in its field service scabbard, complete with conventional crossguard.

AN 1803 PATTERN LIGHT COMPANY OFFICER'S SWORD, 71.5cm curved blade decorated with floral sprays, crowned GR cypher and the Royal arms, all with traces of gilt highlights on a blued ground, regulation pierced copper gilt hilt incorporating a strung bugle horn over a crowned GR cypher, lion's head pommel, wire bound fishskin grip, contained in its copper mounted leather scabbard, the upper mount with maker's panel for Collins 52 Strand. Patination and pitting towards the tip of the blade and stud lacking from upper mount, chape worn and a contemporary brass replacement.
