Gibson Custom J-200 Guitar, sunburst finish, maple back and sides, mother of pearl inlaid rosewood finger board and bridge, engraved pickguard, no. 62899 to internal label, made in Kalamazoo Plant, MI, with original case. Many iconic recordings have featured a Gibson J-200 being played such as by George Harrison in The Beatles 'Here Comes the Sun', Jimmy Page in Led Zeppelin 'Babe I'm Gonna Leave You' and Pete Townshend in The Who 'Pinball Wizard'. With an extra large 'jumbo' body, this allows for a large and expressive sound.Condition Report: Appears in very good condition, neck straight, no apparent repairs, number on back of head matches label 62899 (use serial number to date), few bumps to edges and corners, few light surface marks but nothing major.

The Doors 'Light my Fire' - Original hand painted artwork on thick paper by John Judkins, signed and dated, flat, 56 x 76 cm.Background: I Was Lord Kitchener's Valet was a swinging 60's boutique, originally based in Portobello Road & later Carnaby Street. The boutiques became famous for selling military style clothing & for a celebrity clientele including the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton & Paul McCartney. Artist John Judkins was commissioned to design posters for the boutique, the most collectable of which are his posters for Bob Dylan & Mick Jagger.These posters were later produced by John Judkins but share the same flair and style of the early artwork.

After Jean-Baptise Monnoyer (1636-1699) Franco-Flemish, still life with mixed flowers in a bronze urn, oil on canvas, 83 cm x 62.5 cm in a giltwood frame.Condition report: The painting has been re-lined and maybe re- varnished at some time during the 20th centuryI can not see any evidence of old patches or repairs to the paintworkI have used a UV light to view the canvas, this picks out foliage and details almost invisible to natural light.The painting came from an established private Oxfordshire/Cotswolds collection of items that were being sold as the owner had moved into a nursing home and the very large family home was being cleared..I hope the above helps

A large Chinese flambe glazed vase with French ormolu mounts, the sang de boeuf glaze with lavender striations throughout, the ormolu handles formed as scrolling leaves with bellflowers, the base with relief cast paterae above a guilloche band on square foot with further paterae and bellflowers, 50cm high excluding light fittings and stem, 88cm overallCondition report: A 2.5cm hairline crack on the rim beneath the gilt mount (see images). Otherwise it is in good decorative condition.

Lot 162

A set of three Chinese Famille rose porcelain circular, dragon dishes. Qing dynasty. Each painted with an iron red, central panel of a rampaging five claw dragon and pearl within a cloud and fungus ground, surrounded by lotus, citron, peaches, and peony in colours. The rims painted with "Greek Key" borders. Bearing a red six-character mark in script for Guangxu to the bases. And possibly mark and period. 21.1 cm diameter,Condition report: Some fritting and glaze chips to the very tip of the rims on each plate (see images). Two plates have light brown stain patches within the auspicious fruits, light cleaning doesn't remove them.
