A pair of Edwardian armchairs, upholstered in cream cotton material and raised on tapered front legs terminating in castors. Width across arms 63 cm, height to top of back 85 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Both chairs are structurally very sound with no significantly loose joints. All legs are in good condition and do not appear to have any repairs or restorations. The castors are original. All legs have scratches and marks presumably caused by vacuum cleaners, etc. The upholstery is clearly fairly recent but being a light colour is a little discoloured in places. There has been some water staining to the back of one chair and further stains around the tips and top edges of the arms on the same chair. There are however no holes in the material and it may well be that the material would clean. The material on the back of the top of both chairs is a little clicked. There are no holes, it looks as if this very slight fraying has been caused possibly by a cat. There are no holes and if the offending pieces of cotton were cut off this would not be apparent and would not leave any marks. The right hand front leg of one chair is slightly off straight and there is a little bit of movement on that front leg.
