Sgt Martin instructed Gunners McKie and DONALD to bring a stretcher and to follow him down the concrete road to the shore, through the minefield, to render first aid to seriously wounded Sappers. All three rescuers showed acomplete disregard for their personal safety, and their bravery and prompt action were outstanding'. - included in the lot are copies of official records and London Gazette supplement
