Together with a framed Culloden Volunteers Battalion tunic button with a paper label with the inscription "Very rare old button originally the property of one of the followers of Prince Charlie" together with a Liverpool Scottish sash badge and an Mc Duff tartan aide de memoirQty: 4Condition report: The Tipstaff is generally in good order, the top mount has some movement but is well attached. The McDuff tartan ware note pad has some small knocks on the exterior and light scuff marks to the corner of the leather spine, but nothing too detrimental. The inner pad has come away from the board, some staining to the bone pencil terminal. Cap badge in good order. An Art Deco Lalique cased frosted glass 'Marguerites' 922 pattern vase, 1930s, the ovoid body decorated with tumbling daisy flowers, engraved mark to base 'R. Lalique France', height approx 21cm.Condition report: A tiny flea bite on the top of the rim (see images), otherwise in good condition. Remnants of the original enamelled / stained decoration evident throughout, especially to top half. Light surface scratches to the underside of base, commensurate with age.

A Thomas Webb & Son cameo glass vase, 19th century, decorated with white leaves, berries and insects on a light yellow amber ground, moulded banner mark to the underside; and a large Bohemian milch glass vase. late 19th century, painted with a young woman playing a saxonette, within a leafy gilt frame and verso a spray of poppies and leaves, 44cmQty: 2Condition report: A 14mm long x 4mm high rim chip to the Webb vase, and an interior blister in the glass, otherwise a nice example.The Bohemian vase with some gilt rubbing to the interior and exterior rim, resulting in the loss of some decorative definition, some discolouration beneath the saxonette. Some slight rubbing to the gilt frame around the portrait. It appears to be free from any obvious cracks, chips or repairs.

Wicklow, who was an officer in the Light Dragoons, a volunteer force in Ireland. His father purchased a commission for him in Ireland in the 17th Regiment of (Light) Dragoons. In 1775 as a cavalry coronet, he went to North America and served in the American War of Independence. He first saw action at the battle of Bunker Hill, during the Siege of Boston. Loftus left Cork in 1798 and was granted the Freedom of the City, receiving the present lot.He took command of Laughlinstown camp during the Irish Rebellion of 1798 and was a brigade commander at the Battle of Vinegar Hill. Transferring back to the English Staff he was promoted lieutenant-general in 1803 and full general in 1813. From 1810 until his death in 1831 he was Lieutenant of the Tower of London. Loftus married firstly on 18 February 1778, Margaret daughter of Maccerel King of Lesson Hall, Dublin. He was married secondly on 7 May 1790 to Lady Elizabeth Townshend, daughter of George Townshend, 1st Marquess Townshend. He was buried alongside Lady Elizabeth Loftus in the Townshend family vault at Raynham Hall, Norfolk.
