Basically GC (some light pitting, mostly to edge of blade, much gilt rubbed, ring and 2 rosettes missing from grip, one grip chip) (See lot 1049 for illustration).

An unusual Venezuelan officer’s sword, part DE blade 31½” by WKC Solingen, with etched panels inscribed ‘Gabierno de Venezuela 1900” and “Honor y Lealtad”; brass hilt with Venezuelan arms on guard and lion’s head pommel, fishskin covered grip; in its brass mounted steel scabbard with 2 hanging rings, and with incorrect bullion sword knot.
