GC, the colours good (one or two very faint surface moth traces)
A Geo naval dirk, slender DE blade 12¼” with narrow fullers, gilt mounted hilt with ‘propeller’ crosspiece, plain ivory grip of bevelled rectangular section, in its gilt mounted leather sheath with 2 hanging rings. GC (some light pitting to blade, mounts well regilt). (See lot 1049 for illustration).
A naval officer’s 1827 patt sword, broad, pipe back, quill pointed blade 31”, etched with 1816-37 Royal Arms and motto, crowned fouled anchor within frosted panels, regulation gilt brass hilt, solid guard incorporating crowned fouled anchor, with turn down inner portion, wirebound sharkskin grip, lion’s head pommel, in its brass mounted leather scabbard. Basically GC, the blade retaining a little original polish (some rust stains and very light pitting patches, most gilt rubbed, scabbard worn, middle band missing). (See lot 1043 for illustration).
An ERI Light Infantry officer’s sword by Hawkes & Co, straight dumbell section blade 32½”, etched with crowned ERI cypher, Royal Arms and foliate scrolls, nickel plated Gothic hilt with its leather knot in its nickel plated dress scabbard, additional black leather covered FS scabbard and leather cover. GC (hilt slightly bent, proof inset missing from blade, cover torn)
A Geo IV General officer’s mameluke sword, curved flat blade with clipped back tip, 29”, by Odell & Atherly, 71 & 72 Burlington Arcade, London, etched with crown/GR cypher/IV/wreath/crossed baton and sword/wreath within plain panels, regulation copper gilt hilt, the crosspiece incorporating crossed baton and sword, ivory grips, in its leather scabbard with copper gilt mounts, the locket engraved Odell & Atherley, 72 Burlington Arcade, Piccadilly, London. Basically GC (some light pitting, mostly to edge of blade, much gilt rubbed, ring and 2 rosettes missing from grip, one grip chip) (See lot 1049 for illustration).
An unusual Venezuelan officer’s sword, part DE blade 31½” by WKC Solingen, with etched panels inscribed ‘Gabierno de Venezuela 1900” and “Honor y Lealtad”; brass hilt with Venezuelan arms on guard and lion’s head pommel, fishskin covered grip; in its brass mounted steel scabbard with 2 hanging rings, and with incorrect bullion sword knot. GC (light rust to scabbard, grip wire lacking). (See lot 1049 for illustration).
A 1788 pattern light cavalry sword, curved broad fullered blade with narrow back fuller, 35½”, inscribed R Solingen and stamped Egg on the backstrap, etched with mounted figure, “Light Dragoons” and trophies, regulation steel hilt, plain knucklebow with long langets wire bound fishskin grip. Basically GC (some wear and dark pitting to steel parts, grip some wear) (See lot 1043 for illustration).

2 Tinplate toys: A Russian 1930s style lorry mounted crane, approx 13” long, heavy gauge, painted blue. Crane in grey and light blue with black and white detailing, complete with hook line and detachable bucket. Red wheels with chrome hubs and rubber tyres. Together with a Technofix Alpine Express tinplate scenic railway toy, complete with 2 clockwork rail cars. Both boxed. Some wear, damage. Contents QGC to GC some chipping and rusting to lorry and minor wear to scenic railway.
A battery operated tinplate Super Patrol Man inTM Modern Toys, approx 9” long, finished in black and white US style Highway Patrol livery, cartoon style with single policeman driver, mystery action, with light and siren, boxed, with packing, vehicle VGC minor wear in places.
