Yellow wool dress - scattered with moth holes, large light brown stain to front bodice. Embellished belt is unfinished, no fastenings.

An appliquéd velvet and silver lame party dress and two French brocaded silk shawls, circa 1925, bust 92cm, 36in; one of the shawls with bold pink and gold roses (3) CONDITION REPORT: · Dress - very pretty, velvet and applique are good, colours are good. Lame bodice is slightly tarnished and frayed at edges. Approx. 12cm tear to velvet at left side just below side fastenings. Front of skirt has approx. 2 small brown stains and 2 very faint and hard to see light brown watermarks near hem, largest approx. 19x10cm. Rear of skirt - one lily pad needs re-stitching, 2 small breaks in velvet near left hem the largest 3cm long, the lining of front bodice has tears/shattering and is in need of repair. Shawls both good condition, no problems, fringes not tangled

Colour is good. Slight soiling to skirt. Thinning to lace and faint discolouration at underarms. Stitched repairs to lace here also. Cuffs are slightly frayed and discoloured. Otherwise good. · White with blue floral - good condition, faint perspiration at underarms and interior shoulder straps. Scattering of pinhead sized ink dots to interior front neck. Interior hand finished. · Sky blue with sleeves - good condition, discolouration to sheer sleeves, especially at shoulders, also light brown stains to skirt area but not immediately obvious · Blue with sweetheart neckline - very nicely made by good dressmaker. Has inner corset with garters and tulle petticoat. Colour is good but has discolouration to shoulder straps and at underarms. Front skirt has three small brown stains, concealed within pleats. · Sky blue with beaded bodice - perspiration stains at underarms and underarms have started to shatter. Otherwise good, very nicely made by a good dressmaker. · Royal blue raw silk - good condition, colour is vibrant, right side seams needs re-stitching approx. 14cm · Grey-blue raw silk - hem needs re-stitching, tacking stitches at zipper have not been removed and zipper needs attaching at right side, otherwise good

Looks little used. Interior also good, inside front pocket has one light brown mark (minor) · Navy Gucci- shows heavy use, rubbing to leather at corners and rubbing to gilt hardware, bag is slightly 'squashed', interior is good. · Asprey - good condition, slight surface marks, copy or original receipt inside, looks little used · Coach - good condition, looks little used, with original leaflet · Dior - good condition, patent leather is slightly tacky - shows fingerprints from use, interior is good, looks little used

Two woven silk stoles, probably Spitalfields, early 19th century, one of pale golden beige with deep borders of poppies cornflowers and wheatears in pastel shades; the other of shot ivory/yellow silk with floral repeat borders in mainly yellow,blue, pink and green, 252 by 62 and 268 by 83cm (2) CONDITION REPORT: Stole with light beige ground: border colours are good, generally good condition, the occasional small stain concealed within the pattern on one end, plain central ground with approx. 4 small brown stains near edges. Stole with yellow ground: shot silk ground is generally good, the occasional small brown spot stain, small splits in edges at border ends, I suspect it has been washed.

Lot 145

A Christian Dior London ivory gazar bridal gown, 1968, labelled and numbered 47011, with beaded collar and cuffs, the front panel formed from joined sections of gazar - their points converging into a central point at bodice, bust 82cm, 32in CONDITION REPORT: First impression is fresh and good. Faint perspiration stains at underarms, small light brown stain at centre front bodice and another to front right of skirt. Hem is slightly soiled with minor scuffing. Very faint oval watermark below rear zip closure. Beading is good and intact. Hem has been raised 3cm at the back. Bodice has been let out at each side approx. 1cm - minor alterations probably done at time of purchase.

Very small hole in bust area. Very faint light brown stain to centre front skirt 6x1cm. 2 more similar to rear left hip area. Faint watermark to right rear hem approx. 33x20cm. All very hard to see and not immediately obvious

An Ossie Clark eau-de-nil satin and crepe evening ensemble, circa 1973, woven Quorum label and size 10, the jacket with plunging V-neck, buttons to waist and flounced peplum, matching midi skirt, bust 86cm, 34in, waist 61cm, 24in (2) CONDITION REPORT: Large faint brown stain to rear of skirt approx 23 by 8cm, front of skirt with light brown discolouration and bleach marks from cleaning fluid. Jacket - couple of pinhead sized spot stains (minor), faint light brown watermark top front left sleeve, very slight scuffing to satin at front closure - a brooch may have been pinned here.

Coat has approx. 2 yellow stains to hem of train, approx. 3 small yellow stains to bodice front and edging, lace is good with no breaks, very small light brown stain to collar, cuffs have a couple of yellow stains.

One darker small stain near hem at left side, 2cm diameter. Brown smudge, possibly make-up, to pleat at lower right bodice. Very faint perspiration stains at underarms, hard to see.

Still has tacking stitches at side seams · Ombre example - good condition, interior corset is discoloured from perspiration · Pink lace - good condition · Green silk - hem is un-finished/has been let down, perspiration stains at underarms, silk is shattering at underarms, shoulder straps and back zipper. Nicely made with interior corset and hand finished · Gold and pink brocade - good condition, 2 small brown stains to front left of skirt · Pink with belt - good condition, hem has been raised approx. 2in. Corset and hand finished interior · Beige cotton - rear skirt has greasemarks

Lot 316

A woven paisley-design shawl, probably Norwich, circa 1840-50, the ivory wool ground woven with confronting pairs of foliate botehs, with guard borders of larger curling botehs, woven mainly in red and blue, 251 by 123cm CONDITION REPORT: Overall - fair condition, has been professionally conserved. Narrow edges have been re-backed in conservation gauze to re-inforce and protect them on the two long sides. 6 repaired breaks to outer border. 2 small patch repairs to back of shawl and 1 patch 4x9cm to centre of the shawl. 5.5x3.5cm patch to narrow outer border where section is missing. Top side: general appearance is good with occasional light brown discolourations, slightly faded overall in comparison to the back, centre front area of thinning and 0.8x2.5cm sections missing hence patch described above.
