A silver figure of a Royal Gloucestershire Hussar on a rectangular stained plinth base, Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co. London 1916, with presentation plaque inscribed 'Presented to Lieutenant AW Strickland Royal Gloucestershire Hussars by his brother officers on the occasion of his marriage 4th December 1915', 43cm high in total CONDITION REPORT: the figure is attached to its ebonised plinth, so we cannot weigh the silver. The ebonising is worn in some areas where the piece has been polished. There is quite a lot of wear to the area between the front and back legs, this is from polishing. There are two breaks to the thin silver reins. The Hussah's plume(upper section) is missing. I have seen this model before, and had the plume replaced, because that example was also missing the plume. Light wear and scratches in line with age and usage.
