1966 Ford Zodiac Mk. III Transmission: manualMileage:9842The Ford Zephyr and its variant, the Zodiac, were the largest passenger cars in the British Ford range and were manufactured from 1950 through to 1972. The Zodiac was an upmarket version of the Zephyr 6 but differed considerably from that model by the limousine-type rear doors, sharper roofline (with narrower C-pillar), unique grille (four headlights instead of two), plusher seating with up-market upholstery, dashboard and interior fittings. A choice of individual or bench front seat was available; the front doors and bonnet panels were shared with the Zephyr 6. The 2553cc single-carburettor six-cylinder engine was improved internally to increase the power output to 109bhp, hence the brakes were uprated and were servo assisted, using discs at the front and drums at the rear. A Zodiac Mk. III saloon tested by 'The Motor' magazine in 1962 had a top speed of 100.7mph and cost £1070 on the road including taxes.First registered on the 1st February 1966 this Mk. III Zodiac has been owned by our vendor for the past nine years. With just four previous keepers in 56 years, we are informed the car is mechanically very sound having benefitted from an older restoration. Unfortunately, the paintwork has deteriorated and thus the car could benefit from new paint should an owner wish. Structurally we are in informed the car is sound and the underside has been undersealed by our vendor to protect, this Zodiac also benefits from new plugs and battery. Requiring some cosmetic TLC the chrome is generally very good. The interior is also in fine order and we believe original, a lovely example of the iconic 60s design and mechanically sound this would make an ideal 'light' project.Guide Price £5,000 - £7,000

1964 Jaguar Mk. II (3.8 Litre) Transmission: automaticMileage:2030The Jaguar Mk. II was a medium sized saloon built from 1959 to 1967 as a successor to the 2.4 and 3.4 litre models. The Mk. II was handsome, powerful, and good handling saloon which was offered with a choice of three six-cylinder twin cam engines; 2.4 litre, 3.4 litre or 3.8 litre. After the appreciation of the Mk. I, Jaguar's successor was well received thus making a good car even better.  Similar in appearance but with a bigger glass area, it boasted a wider track to improve road holding together with minor front suspension changes to reduce body roll and fitted with the new Dunlop disc brakes all-round rather than drum brakes. The 210bhp 3.4 litre engine variant proved to be the most popular, offering the best compromise between performance and economy.  Naturally, the performance was excellent, and the Mk. II has enjoyed great success on the track and can still be a very competitive historic race car.  Raced by all the top drivers of the day including Graham Hill, Roy Salvadori and Michael Parkes, the Mk. II scored victories throughout saloon car races in the 60's and was also raced across Europe in the Tour de France and Monte-Carlo rally. The car also gained a reputation as a capable 'getaway car' among the criminal underworld.  The Mk. II had seating for five adults and in 3.8 litre specification, could outrun almost any other car on the road.  This example is presented in light Quartz Gunmetal Grey with blue leather interior. This was originally a Rhodesian car which we understand was imported to the UK in 2014 and registered with the DVLA in May 2015. Its original 3.4 engine has been replaced by the more potent and powerful 3.8 litre which is mated to a Borg Warner three-speed automatic gearbox. The interior is in good condition with the burr walnut woodwork looking good and is complemented by the Moto-Lita wooden steering wheel, so evocative of this era. The car comes with an original Jaguar workshop manual, Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate and various invoices. These are quintessentially British and evoke many nostalgic memories for a great deal of people, this is no exception!

1990 Mercedes-Benz 560 SEC Transmission: automaticMileage:31115Mercedes-Benz set out to build the best luxury car in the world and for the duration of the 1980s the W126 C-Class succeeded admirably in achieving this goal. The W126 model employed a new range of light alloy V8 engines and a more aerodynamic shape over the previous S-Class, significantly improving fuel consumption. Initially available in two versions, the 380 SEC and 500 SEC, each powered by a single-overhead cam V8 engine with Bosch electronic fuel injection and four-speed automatic transmission, the big Benz coupé enjoyed effortless performance. At the 1985 Frankfurt Motor Show three new models were unveiled, the 420 SEC, 500 SEC and a new flagship badged the 560 SEC, along with further mechanical improvements including dual-range (Sport and Economy) automatic transmission, revised 15€ alloy wheels and upgraded brakes. The lower body sills were redesigned, giving the SEC a cleaner look, while the 560 model benefited from 215/65 tyres, ABS, speed-sensitive suspension and various interior upgrades. The 560's M117 V8 engine was rated at 300bhp, with 325lb/ft of torque on tap, resulting in a top speed of 150mph with acceleration to match. The car in our sale is the top of the range, with the most powerful engine available (5.6 litre rated at 300bhp).First registered on 1st August 1990, this flagship S-class Coupé is presented in Metallic Blue with cream leather trim and has been privately owned by the current owner for 15 years. Just five former keepers can be found on the logbook, the past two owners can account for motoring back to 1999 when the car had covered a mere 18,291 miles; it has been cherished ever since with a current mileage of a mere 31,113. With a fully detailed history file, this Mercedes-Benz has been cared for by main dealers or Mercedes-Benz specialists. Supplied with the V5 registration document and an MoT test certificate valid until June 2023, this is an iconic flagship coupé loaded with 1990's technology. Few of these remain on the road and hardly any in this condition with a silky smooth 5.5 litre V8 engine.

1989 Mini Moke Transmission: manualMileage:14000The Mini Moke is a vehicle based on the Mini and designed for the British Motor Corporation (BMC) by Sir Alec Issigonis. The name comes from 'Mini'- the car with which the Moke shares many parts - and 'Moke', which is an archaic dialect term for donkey. The initial design was a prototype for a light military vehicle in the style of the American Jeep, but its small wheels and low ground clearance made it impractical as an off-road vehicle. It was subsequently offered in a civilian version as a low-cost, easily maintained utility vehicle. The Moke finally achieved success as a beach buggy, becoming a popular 'cult' vehicle in the Seychelles, Australia, the United States and many tropical resorts in the Caribbean. Now equally as collectable as the Willys Jeep and Land Rover, a Moke offers fun in abundance whether popping to the shops or a trip along a coastal road in the sun.Originally registered in the UK but exported to the Isle of Man before returning to the UK, this delightful Moke is presented in red and has covered a mere 14,000 miles from new. Having always been garaged this is described as rust free and the spare wheel has indeed never been used. These Rover Portuguese Mini Mokes are true fun cars to drive and this Moke is no exception. Recently MoT'd and ready for the summer it is supplied with a new hood supplied by Runamoke which will need fitting and matches the spare wheel cover. Interested parties please note, this example is not sold with a V5 however the V5 has been successfully applied for and the DVLA have requested an inspection on the 25th July. Should the new owner wish we can hold the car at the Historics showroom until inspected and he/she can collect from the Historics Showroom shortly after with a new V5 to follow.

1925 Ford Model-T Fire Truck with additional auxiliary pump Transmission: paddleMileage:From 1909 to 1927, the Ford Motor Company built more than 15 million Model T cars. Without a doubt, Henry Ford transformed the economic and social fabric of the 20th century with the majority of Americans owning one at one point or another. Body styles were many and varied, the most popular of which were two and five-seater open touring cars; however, a very wide variety of bodies were available over the years including closed cars, vans as well as a number of other commercial body styles. Special bodies and many other parts were available from accessory suppliers so it was possible to convert your Model T car to anything from a 25-seater Charabanc or taxi to a racing car or, indeed, fire engine. This 1925 Ford is in the guise of a New York fire truck and represents a fascinating piece of social history. This open-cab Model T is certainly well equipped. To the rear of the unit is the hose, search light and water tank with, running along the sides, a set of ladders. Additionally, a correct hickory-handled fire-fighter's axe can be found to one side with a pike to the other. As you would expect, a large brass fire-bell is available to clear the way! Inside, the seating is in good condition chesterfield-style with the entire unit sitting proudly on artillery wheels. To the rear is an additional wheeled pump to lift water from a hydrant (believed non-functional). Recent works includes new front tyres, an alternator, starter motor as well as a fresh MoT test certificate. This entire unit was also used in Disney's blockbuster feature film, 'Dumbo', the Model T section is now fully functional, registered in the UK and offered for sale without reserve.

Lot 172

2005 Porsche Porsche 911 / 997 Carrera 2S Convertible Transmission: automaticMileage:49463The driving experience of linking corners whilst sitting behind the wheel of a Porsche is like nothing else on earth. The Stuttgart firm's flagship model, the 911, has evolved over the years reaching new heights of performance and quality each time. The 997-series allied all the technological improvements of its 996-series predecessor; a lighter/stiffer bodyshell, better suspension, four-valve cylinder heads and a superior HVAC system. Available in Carrera or Carrera S guises when launched, the latter boasted a more powerful 3.8 litre engine, sports exhaust, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and 19€ wheels as standard. The 'S' also had Xenon headlights, bigger brakes and red callipers to visually set them apart. This is extremely well presented C2S arrives from just one family owner, father then son, in an extremely attractive colour combination of metallic black paintwork with a black leather interior. The hardtop roof matches the bodywork and the black mohair soft-top is in excellent order. There are alloy wheels all round and, as you would expect, some light day-to-day scuffing and all shod with Michelin Pilot Sport's tyres. The comprehensive history includes numerous service invoices including one this May totalling over £4,000 and a fresh, one-year MoT test certificate. The tombstone seats are electric and combine with the satellite navigation system and Bose sound system to form a completely sound-proof environment with roof on or fun-in-sun, top-down motoring with the soft-top stowed.. Music by Kevin MacLeod is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license

2008 Bentley Arnage R Transmission: automaticMileage:16700The Bentley Arnage was launched in 1998, a large luxury saloon car that replaced the previous Bentley Turbo saloon. Built by Bentley Motors in Crewe, from 1998 to 2009, the Arnage and its Rolls-Royce sibling named the Silver Seraph, were introduced in the Spring of 1998. They were the first entirely new designs for the two marques since 1980 when the Silver Spirit and Mulsanne models were introduced. In 2002, Bentley updated the Red Label as the series two Arnage R. This model was launched to contrast the Arnage T, which was developed to be a sportier variant. The Arnage R was the more elegant alternative although performance was hardly compromised. Featuring two Garrett T3 turbochargers fitted to the 6.75 litre V8 engine which produces 450bhp and 875nM, capable of launching this magnificent Bentley from 0-62mph in just 5.8 seconds. Bentley quote the Arnage R as being an unrivalled example of the Grand Touring philosophy, making every journey a unique experience of power, luxury and control. A place where two very different worlds are perfectly united. Tradition and technology in absolute harmony. This excellent Bentley Arnage R was purchased by the world-renowned artist Damien Hirst as a gift for his long-term friend, accountant and financial advisor who was the business brain behind his multimillion-pound career. Supplied by Jack Barclay on the 26th June 2008 for the sum of £182,500 it features a rare 'Hooper' style rear window, designed to give added privacy to the rear occupants but also lending the back of the car a more elegant line. A rear fridge, rear knee rolls, walnut picnic tables and cream dials were among the options. This is one of the last Arnage R's and the closest to 'new' in condition as you might hope to find on the market today. It has been in the same family and has only covered 16,700 miles from new, confirmed by the service book which shows no less than fifteen Bentley main dealer stamps, eight of which were completed within the last 1000 miles covered! The last Bentley service and MoT was carried out on 31st May 2022 and it has just been fitted with two new batteries. Finished in the stunning colour combination of Black Sapphire (very dark midnight blue) with Linen (light cream) leather interior piped in Windsor Blue. This Arnage R is supplied with a V5 registration document, an MoT test certificate, the service book and a follow-on service book showing the service history and confirming the mileage and the original Jack Barclay order form. A unique opportunity to buy the last of its breed, low mileage, faultless history and an interesting provenance.
