A late 18th century light company officer’s service sword, plain steeply curved, flat blade 26”, DE at point, pronounced steel stirrup hilt, the crossguard with langets, into knucklebow and plain forward sloping pommel and backstrap, ribbed leather (worn) covered grip, in its steel scabbard (some shallow dents) with 2 rings, marked “Prosser....” (unclear) with dress knot (worn). Basically GC for age.

A 1796 pattern light cavalry trooper’s sword, broad curved shallow fullered blade 32½”, marked “Iosh.H. Reddell & Co” on backstrap, and with inspector’s stamp at forte, regulation steel hilt with langets, knucklebow, plain pommel and backstrap with “ears”, leather covered ribbed grip, in its steel scabbard (one or two minor dents) with 2 rings. GC, with a good dark patina to hilt and scabbard.
