Henry Pickering (c.1720-c.1775)Portrait of Charles, second son of Sir R Bradshaigh by Rachel, Daughter to Sir I Guise, wearing a powdered wig, a dark coat, claret-coloured waistcoat embroidered with gilt flowers and white stock in feigned oval, inscribed "H Pickering Pxt 1755" and titled, oil on canvas, 74 x62 cms Not lined. Craquelure throughout, with some surface dust/dirt, and minor discolouration to the varnish. Not examined under UV light.

Attributed to Raoul Dufy (1877-1953)Sail boats near Nice, Cote d'Azur,circa 1922-1924, watercolour, 42.5 x 56.5cm Formerly in the collection of Miss Adelaide Milton de Groot (1867-1967) and purchased by our current vendor from a member of the family in the Autumn of 1973 at their apartment on the Upper West Side near 79th Street, New York city(More information available on request) Sheet is time stained. There is a small tear/scuff to the paper surface lower left area, and a light vertical scratch near to the boats. Repaired tear to the upper edge in the tree area. A few scattered spots of foxing. Not examined out of the frame.

There is a scratch approx 5cm long to the lower right area, and fine craquelure throughout. Minor scratches. Under UV light there are some very minor areas of retouching, the main one being a small area under the sitter's chin, and a few background areas, most being very small.

Reuben Ward Binks (1880-1950)A group of three otter hounds at a stable door, signed, watercolour, and companion, a pair, 20 x 33cm; and an etching of a pointer by the same hand, signed in pencil, unframed (3) One has a V shaped tear to the upper edge, and is quite brown/time stained. The other is fairly good overall, with minor time staining and a few spots of scattered light foxing.

A PAIR OF 1796 PATTERN LIGHT CAVALRY OFFICER"S SABRESone blued and gilt with foliage, a stand of arms, crowned "GR" cypher, the Royal Arms, and a mounted cavalryman, regulation steel stirrup hilt with facetted back piece, wire bound leather covered grip, in its steel scabbard with two suspension rings, the second is seized in the scabbard with some blue and gilt visible and with fish skin grip, both with inscriptions on the locket for Charles Hutchings, East Somerset, Yeomanry Cavalry, Yeovil Troop, on the locket, 83cm blades; and a 19th century percussion d.b. box-lock pocket pistol with carved stock (3)
18K Yellow gold ring set with a rose cut diamond in silver surrounded by blue enamel. Set with one rose cut diamond set in a silver setting (approx. 7.20 x 6.40 x 1.70 mm, VS / I-J). In reasonable condition, small repair at the bottom of the setting and light signs of use on the enamel. Hallmarks: Dutch assay mark 750. Ring size: 17.5 mm / 55 mm. Weight: 4.17 grams.
