The ring presents in condition commensurate with age and moderate usage. Whilst there is no major visible damage to any of the stones there are some light marks commensurate with age. All the stones appear to be securely set with no damage to any of the collet mounts. The flowerhead is tilted slightly to one side against the shank, we believe that it was manufactured that way or altered that way due to arthritic client. Overall an honest example. A Pair of George III Mahogany Hall Chairs, the shaped backs with moulded edges, matching wood seats inset with plain oval cartouche, on turned legs The first chair - top back there is some general signs of scratching and the the seat some darker staining. on the back there are three pegs pushing proud. The whole of the chair at the back it is different colour to the legs and the seat. Back legs appear to be replacements. Joints are tight and the item is structurally sound with little to no movement to the joints.The other chair - light scattered scratching to the whole. The seat has some watermarks and darker staining. Again the back has pegs that are proud and the back legs are a slightly different shade to the back and seat, they are either heavily faded or have been repaired/replaced. The back left hand leg there is a small area of timber damage around 0.25ins square. Joints are tight with little to no movement. The pair are in a fair condition.

Slight oxidisation and verdigris build up especially round the face and some general rubbing. Some light scattered scratching to the base and some light pitting around the body, legs and face of the figure. The tops of two fingers are missing on the right hand side, which may have potentially been holding something originally.

Manner of Sir Peter Lely (1618-1660) - Oil painting - "Little Lady" - full-length portrait of a young girl with ringlets in her hair, wearing gold dress, pearl earrings and necklace in a landscape setting, relined canvas 50ins x 40ins, in gilt moulded frame Note: This portrait is thought to depict a member of the Lamport family, but the Lady's identity is not confirmed This has been catalogued as 'in the manner of Peter Lely' meaning in our opinion it is a work in the style of the artist and of a later date. To confirm we are not saying or guessing that it is by Peter Lely but it is painted in his style. This painting has come from a private source and has been passed down through family by repute, since it was painted. It was relined and restored in March 1927. On the back is a paper label for S.W Hoary "artistic frame marker print seller expert in gilding and picture restoration, 152 St Michaels Hill Bristol" and is dated March 1927. There is a bump to the canvas to the left of the figure close to her upper arm. With this there is some associated paint loss. There is some craquelure to the paint surface. Under UV light there are light scattered patches of overpainting including small areas at the top of her head, around the knuckles of the fingers of her right hand, some small scattered patches in the skirt of the dress and the folds in the bottom right corner. A few scattered patches in the background. It is contained in a gilt moulded frame which has been overpainted and has some minor chips and scuff marks. The painting comes with some handwritten notes by a family member dating to 1983, referring to the portrait as "An unsigned portrait "Aunt Lamport" presumed to be of Sir Peter Lely's school". The notes also refer to the portrait as "the little lady and states that it hung for many years at the Grange in Farnham in Surrey" and then describes the descent to the current owner.

The bezel itself shows only light marks commensurate with age and light usage. The case itself likeswise shows no obvious sign of damage, bearing only light marks, the winder appears original. The crystal is unmarked with just some very light patination again due to age and light usage. The dial presents in excellent overall condition. The hands appear original. The watch winds, runs and sets but should be regarded as untested. The bracelet itself is showing some marks commensurate with age and some wear which is to be expected on a watch of this age but it is in honest condition. This area is now enlarged. Some light chipping and loss to enamel to all edges. The enamel sign itself appears to be in reasonably good condition with no obvious loss or restoration. The back shows are few scattered historic rust marks.

Some minor scattered pitting to the glaze to the body. Some scattered light surface scratches. Some scattered pitting to the enamels particularly the white enamels. Some rubbing to some of the black outline enamels. Some very minor scattered surface flakes to some enamels. There appears to be a Y-shaped hairline crack in the base.

Blomfield, with moulded cornice, dentil frieze, the upper part inset with three arched mirror panels and flanked by turned columns, the base fitted two shelves enclosed by a pair of moulded and panelled doors, with hinges made in the form of flesh, fish and fowl, on conforming supports, 39ins wide x 18ins deep x 65ins high Note: Illustrated in Charles Lock Eastlake's 'Hints on Household Taste', 1868 Most notably there is a white build-up of dust/dirt on the top level and the top of the base. General light scattered scratching to the whole and some darker staining. All three front edges of the top at the cornice have some slight edge knocks and general rubbing. There is some slight uneven fading to the top and the front and the right and left hand sides. Some minor scattered areas of parcel gilt loss all over. The mirror panels appear to be in good overall clean condition. All the door panels are present. One appears darker but in our opinion does not appear to be a replacement, there is a grain to the panel and it just appears to be a shade darker than the others. There are no obvious areas of damage, loss or restoration. The key is present and locking mechanisms work. There is some slight oxidisation to the metal components. General heavier wear to the feet commensurate with age. The doors are slightly swollen and the item is structurally sound with little to no movement in the joints, however the item is a little uneven with one of the feet slightly shorter than the other. There is a small area of timber loss to the back right hand leg which is making it a little uneven, however the whole appears to be in generally good overall and honest condition with no obvious damage, loss or restoration.

However there are no obvious tears, rips or wear to the seat or cushions. There are no foul orders emanating from it. The arms are slightly faded. To the whole there is some light scattered scratching and some heavier rubbing to the crest rail. The item is structurally sound with little to no movement in the joints. There is general heavier wear to the feet and base commensurate with age. One armchair - heavily faded with some light scattered scratching to the whole. The upholstery of the cushions is quite stained and faded however there are no obvious tears or rips to the fabric and there are no foul odours emanating from it. Structurally sound however there is some movement in the joint at the back and general heavier wear to the feet and base commensurate with age. Second armchair - light scattered scratching to the frame. The seat and cushion are slightly stained and discoloured. However there are no obvious tears or rips to the fabric. No foul odours emanating. The chair appears to be structurally sound with little to no movement in the joints and there are general signs of wear to the feet and base. Overall this lot is in fairly good condition.

An Early Victorian Figured Mahogany Gentleman's Wardrobe, with moulded cornice, plain frieze, fitted two shelves enclosed by a pair of arched panelled doors, the base fitted two short and three long graduated drawers, 38ins wide x 20ins deep x 75ins highTo the top of the cornice around all three edges there are some slight edge knocks and rubbing. To the frieze there is some general scattered signs of shrinkage with vertical shrinkage splits present from one end to the other. On the left-hand side of the top there is small area in the centre of slight grazing, and on the right-hand side is a "J" shaped scratch around 12ins long, however, this item appears to have been re-polished quite recently and it is barely visible. To the face on the left, top and right-hand sides there is some general light scattered scratching and on the base of the right-hand side there is a deep gouge running horizontally around 4ins long. Drawers run free and easily with minimal resistance. General heavier wear to the bun feet commensurate with age. Overall the item is structurally sound with little or no movement to the joints, and appears to be in fairly good, overall condition

A 19th Century French Green Japanned Cased Mantle Clock by Samuel Marti, No.853, the 4ins domed cream dial with Arabic numerals to the eight day two train movement, striking on a gong, contained in case of Chinese pagoda pattern with turned finial to top and decorated in gilt with Chinoiseries on bracket feet 12.5ins highExternally the clock presents in good overall condition showing no obvious sign of previous damage or repair. The chinoiserie appears to be original, although the clear lacquer finish may have been replaced at some time. There is no obvious sign of damage or repair to the pagoda. Likewise the base which appears to be original and free from any previous damage. To the rear there is a slight chip to the gilding approximately 4mm to the beading under the main body of the clock in the centre of the clock. There are also one or two light chips commensurate with age and usage. Both sides appear to be in good condition. The rear door functions correctly and the hinge appears to be original. The mechanism appears complete (we cannot warrant the originality of all components). The pendulum is present as is the key. The clock winds, runs and sets however it should be regarded as untested. The white enamel dial is in good condition, free from any hairline cracks. The black Arabic numerals appear clear and concise, the hands appear to be original. The hinges to the front cover appear original and in functional order and the glass appears to be free from any chips or scratches.

Light surface scratches around the border. Hallmarks well struck on the gilded inner rim, and partial marks on the back exterior rim of the lid - these are rubbed. Cloth lined interior is faded and dirty. Scuffs to the exterior covered base.Hob-nail cut glass jar - 6mm scratch to the lid. Two dents to the inner rim of lid. Hallmarks well struck, with the exception of the makers mark, on this inner rim. A few small flake chips to the hobnail cutting.Hand mirror - scattered minor surface scratches to the silver rim. Hallmarks well struck on the rim. Very minor scattered scratches to the enamel. Pair of clothes brushes - one has a large surface chip to the enamel at one end - measures approx 10mm x 4mm - and a minor dent to silver rim. The other has a tiny bruise to the enamel at one end. Hallmarks on both rims are very rubbed.Silver backed hand mirror - several small scattered dents and surface scratches. Hallmarks are a bit rubbed.

A 20th Century Yalameh Runner, woven in colours of ivory, navy blue and wine, with seven hexagonal stepped medallions, the field filled with stylised geometric and floral motif within multi-stripe borders, 9ft 6ins x 2ft 6insThe rug fairly light for its size, its a good quality of wool that is soft, however it is not silky - more coarse, overall it lies very flat on the floor, there are not obvious signs of wear (low pile) or historic moth damage, the fringes and salve edges appear to be fully intact with no signs of fraying, colours are vivid with no signs of fading. This carpet has been cleaned before entry and there are no foul odours eminating from it, and it appears to be in good overall condition
