A set of six Victorian rosewood kidney back dining chairs, each having a carved horizontal splat and padded seat, on turned legs (6)Condition report: Overall these are clean and well made. The timber is nicely figured and they are heavy. They look to have been restored in recent years, so are clean and well presented. The fabric looks recent and is clean but not perfect, with only light marks. One has a curious repair to the leg, the size of a coin in the front, but does not appear to be broken. Another chair has been broken and repaired on the legs, but it is done well and not easy to see. Several others have light marks and losses to the tips of the feet and some repairs using added timber at the ends of the legs, but these are also well done and not easy to see.
English school, 19th century, stable with sheep and chickens, oil on canvas41 x 52cmCondition report: Has been cleaned and re-lined, so the paint is bright, although does have a very light crazing within the surface. No visible signature, but is quite well executed. The frame looks contemporary and sound, but does have various losses and marks. The back is dirty and has the remains of various old labels.

Has been worn, so has very light signs of use whe you look carefully. Inside the movement looks clean. The dial is pitted and has a fine line of wear/dirt around the outer edge. Slightly marked where it has been opened in the past as the case is made of soft metal.

The top has quite a few marks, but these are light and could be mostly polished away. Slightly dirty.
A Regency mahogany and ebony strung sofa table, with a hinged rectangular top, containing a pair of short frieze drawers, on a splayed base76 x 151cm overallCondition report: Overall the table is usable and complete, but is unrestored having been in the same family for a number of years. One legs looks like it has been broken near the end and repaired. Some of the stringing is missing. Drawers run ok, but have no key. Various light marks and wear from use/age. 72cm high. Top is flat and the sides lift up ok. There are some old signs of woodworm to the carcass. Handles, castors and cappings are complete. Some water marks to the surfaces, most noticeably around the base.

A Victorian light oak partner's pedestal desk, with a leather inset writing surface, containing nine short drawers and drawers and cupboards to the reverse, on a plinth base151w x 97d x 77h cmCondition report: Overall solid and usable. Drawers run ok. The inset top is not torn, but heavily marked and worn in places. It has not been restored, so is dirty, worn and inside the drawers are dirty and stained. Central drawer is 42 x 42 x 7cm. Frieze drawers are 37w cm. Pedestal drawers are 32w cm. Kneehole 60w x 59h cm. Some handles are chipped but they appear to all match and are complete. Has been varnished at some stage, but probably not recently. Quite a few old knocks and scuffs around the base, corners and edges. Some slight losses to the veneer on the top in the centre from use.

The surfaces have been artificially aged to give them an antique look. Glass shelves can be adjusted. All the glass panels are bevelled and appear intact. Locks are in place but there is no key. Otherwise light wear and dirt from use.
A pair of George III glass decanters and stoppers, each etched with a ship and inscribed 'LORD WM BENTINCK'26cm highCondition report: Overall appear to be ok, with no obvious damage or repairs. They are dirty inside, so it is difficult to know how they will clean up. The stoppers appear to match and fit well, etching is clear to read. Wear to the bases on each, light signs of wear to the outside surfaces. Some chips around the stoppers at the bases where they fit into the collars, but these are small. Each engraved with initials GAM, within a wreath.

An early 20th century oak and embossed leather four fold screen, the panels decorated with English, Irish and Scottish emblems and the Orders of the Bath, the Garter, St Patrick and the Thistle, and with flowers and chains of office, the reverse decorated with flowers216w x 173h cmCondition report: Overall is usable and folds ok. The leather is split, worn and dull in quite a few places and one of the central panels does not fit well and has what looks like polystyrene in one side to hold it in place. It could be easiy removed and improved. As the piece is very dark the wear to the panels is not easy to see or too detrimental in my opinion and the decoration is well executed. There are some deeper gauges and light marks to the oak frame. It is heavy to move and requires two people.

All the drawers and cupboards run ok. Handles are complete. Has been made to look old, so has stains and knocks, but these are intentional. Slightly dirty with light signs of use, but no obvious damage or repairs. Is very heavy to move and requires two strong people to lift it.

It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that licences are in place before shippingCondition report: The chess set is complete. It is however dirty and the red pieces have marks on the tops where they have worn away the red to a white colour. One white rook is quite chipped around the top and the base with several of the castellations missing, and around half the foot rim is chipped around the edge. The box looks to be original and complete, although the veneers are lifting. There is a large white patch on the top, but this does rub away. There are several splits and light knocks around the edges, dirty and unrestored, but well made. Opens as it should and is usable.

Both hinges lift as they should, but the lower panel is split through the centre. Handles are complete and match. Castors are old and complete. It is unrestored, so dirty, the wood is dull. There is a split to one side. Various light marks and signs of wear.
An 18th century double series opaque twist cordial glass, circa 1770, having a conical bowl on a domed foot, 15cm high, together with an 18th century airtwist cordial glass and another with a facet cut stem (3)Condition report: Tallest glass has a large flat chip 6mm wide along the edge of the foot and several small nicks around the edge. Middle glass is ok. Smaller glass has several schips along one side of the foot which has been partially polished away, making it irregular in shape and not round. All are dirty with light mraks to the surfaces and wear to the feet as expected with age/use.

The marble top is recent. The brass mounts look complete and well made. Has a key which works. Dirty, with quite a few light marks within the black surface from use/age and veneers lifting slightly in places, but this is not immediatly obvious. Some old repairs along the bottom of the plinth base. Inside has adjustable shelves. This was collected from a house move in Essex.

Hallmarks are clear. Handle and finial are dirty and marked. The silver is tarnished and has light marks and dents, but no large damage or repairs.

Does not appear to have been cleaned recently so the surface is dirty, with a slight crazing to the paint in places and light surface marks. The frame is complete but does have a few light marks. Inscribed to the reverse.

An early 20thC Chinese large silk embroidered Piano Shawl, the cream ground highly adorned in coloured silk threads with figures, pagodas, butterflies and cockatoos amongst sprigs of peonies, chrysanthemums and blossom, edged in deep macramé knottings and fringing, total size approx. 97in (245cm) square: silk 49in (125cm), macramé knottings 4in (10cm), fringe 20½in (52cm), overall good condition, colours strong, one area of light staining.
