Rare George III silver rectangular box, the hinged cover engraved with a plan of the battle of Talavera showing the position of the British, French and Spanish forces, the sides of the box engraved with a key to the plan, the base engraved with a crest and motto with a gilded interior 10.5cm x 7cm x 3cm London 1814 Maker Thomas Phipps, Edward Robinson and James Phipps 9.3oz - Condition Report Structurally sound and good shape to the box, gilding to exterior rubbed hinge good, closes tight, two small dents to the right one in the bottom corner the other to the front of the box,(not pierced through), the engraved cartouche at the base of the box is slightly embossed outwards and slightly uneven therefore the box does not sit flat on a surface, good detail to the base decoration and side engravings, some light rubbing to top surface in the detail but still clear and the inscriptions are mostly clear. There are light surface darkening (pitting) throughout the box and scratch marks to the sides; the top lid has some very very slight indentations - not detrimental or really visible, sponsor mark slightly rubbed

Classic Doubles Clubman Sporter 12 bore over and under shotgun, with 30 inch barrels fitted with multi chokes, with five chokes in total and choke key.UK RFD OR SHOTGUN LICENCE REQUIRED TO BUY THIS LOT. Condition report: The gun is generally in good condition with only small signs of wear from use. The stock has some very light marks and scratches but nothing noticeable and is generally very presentable. The action to barrel fit is tight when closed, with the forend on or removed. When the gun is open the fit is still firm and the barrels do not flap around loosely. The action appears to work correctly and ejects. The bores are good and free of faults. The blueing is generally good with small signs of wear. There are very minor corrosion spots to the top rib close to the muzzle which with a little care could be cleaned up.
Mid 18th century Flintlock fowling piece by Bryan of London, fitted with a replacement lock of similar period signed Lowe, with 37.5 inch 12 bore Spanish form barrel with flaring muzzle and silver foresight, gold plug touchhole, silver scroll and flower side plate and escutcheon, figured walnut stock carved with shell and scroll barrel tang apron, mounted with engraved steel furniture.Section 58(2) antique / obsolete calibre, can be owned without a licence.Condition report: The Action works correctly on both half and full cock. The metalwork has pitting overall and there is some corrosion to the inside of the muzzle. The bore has light pitting and a ring of slightly heavier pitting around the mid point of the barrel. There is some light recent surface corrosion to the inside of the trigger guard and other small areas which would clean off with ease. The top ramrod pipe has a chip to it. The stock has a small piece let into the toe of the butt. There is also a repaired crack to the left side of the stock around the second barrel key. The left side of the stock at the muzzle has a chipped/ worn away area where the wood meets the barrel. There is a chip to the wood of the stock beside the lock plate.
Holmes of Liverpool 16 bore percussion double barrel sporting gun, with 28 inch damascus barrels decorated with floral device and double gold band lines, scroll engraved locks, finely chequered figured stock with vacant escutcheon, carved with cheekpiece, pineapple finial silver ramrod pipe and steel scrolling trigger guard, fitted into a period case complete with oil bottle stamped W. Richards Liverpool, a letter flask stamped Bishop Bond Street, and a copper and brass powder flask stamped C&J.W. Hawksley.Section 58(2) Antique /obsolete calibre, can be owned without a licence.Condition report: The case is generally good with the wear and tear of use. Three of the corners are chipped, the lock has been changed and there are two keyholes in the same spot due to the fitting of a previous lock. This can be seen in the second image online. The gun weighs just over 3.4kgs. The length of pull from the rear trigger is 13 3/4 inches. The stock of the gun is generally good with a pleasing patina and nice crisp chequering. There are some dents and scratches from use as well as very minor shrinkage splits around the lock plate areas but the stock is structurally sound and free from damage or repair. The silver barrel wedge plates are a little loose but hold in place. If you were to shoot this gun they might need securing more firmly. The metalwork has very light pitting which is heavier on the tip of the hammers and on the but plate. The barrels have some dark stained pitting patches externally. The ring when tapped and the central rib looks secure with no loose seams. The bores have some dark pitting patches similar to the exterior of the barrels. This does not look too deep but not pitting that could be removed.
Victorian police constabulary short sword and scabbard, with fish skin grip, brass guard and leather scabbard.71cm long Condition report: The sword is in pretty good order generally, there is very very light surface corrosion/dirt that would easily clean up with a little TLC. The guard and grip are tight on the blade and the blade is straight and hasn't been messed with. The grip shows a small amount of wear. The scabbard as can be seen from the images has perished. The end cap is missing.

No licence required to purchase.Condition report: The pistol has patches of surface pitting. The grips are scuffed and worn. There is some light surface corrosion around the barrel which would probably clean off easily. The polished white steel magazine has dark corrosion patches to it. The magazine extracts and is unharmed in the deactivation. The slide retracts and slams forward unless the magazine is in place when the slide locks back showing the gun to be empty. The pistol will not cock and dryfire.

The gun has patches of corrosion to some screw heads and one spot on the frame. There is light surface wear and the bluing has gone to grey in most places. The grips have some scuffs and marks.

There is a dark overall patina to the steel parts with only light surface pitting.

There is a crack to the stock ahead of the action, and a repair to the stock around the ramrod pipe. The stock otherwise has a pleasing patina with nice chequering. The metal has some light overall pitting, there is fresh surface corrosion to the tip of the muzzle and in other areas around the action which would clean up with relative ease. The bore has some light pitting spots but is otherwise very good with crisp rifling.

There is light pitting overall with heavier patches around the nipple area and butt plate. Small patches of surface corrosion in places which would clean off with ease. The action works correctly and the lock-up at the breach is tight. The bore is good with only light patches of pitting. The stock has a good patina with the usual knocks and marks but there are no splits. There are two oil dribble lines running back from the action down the butt but these are not defacing to the look of the gun.

Most of the bluing remains to the barrel with only small areas worn through. The action works correctly with a very strong mainspring. The stock has a very nice patina with the usual knocks and scratches but noting defacing. There is a scratch to the butt which could look from the photos as a crack but it is not. Some parts such as the saddle ring and bar and ramrod have light surface pitting.

The action functions and the barrel to action fit is pretty tight with only a minor amount of movement seen. There is light corrosion to the metalwork generally both inside and outside. The face of the muzzle has small dent on the right hand barrel. The stock has some dents and scratches and there is a recoil pad which has been fitted and has now left a black shadow underneath where it lies.
