A Victorian walnut, satinwood inlaid and chevron banded chess top sewing table with octagonal hinged lid enclosing a compartmentalised interior, tapering stem and three carved cabriole legs to scrolling feet, height 73cm, width 44.5cm.Additional InformationThe top has been refinished and possibly re-inlaid, light surface wear throughout, the hinges have been altered and one is a little loose, this has split the wood where they are and this has been attended to in the past. We do not have all the lids for the internal compartments.

The large jar and cover has some surface imperfections and scratches, but no major dents or losses. The other jar again has light surface wear. All three pieces are stamped 'Made in China'.

A good quality and practical desk. Just a few flecks of veneer loss, scuffing to the edges and a little bit of water damage around the edges.

The water dropper has both a central small hole and a hole at the edge, a few imperfections to the glaze but otherwise ok condition.

A Chinese blue and white tapering cup, unmarked, height 7cm, and a smaller cup painted with figures on horseback and a standing figure with painted Kangxi yu (jade) mark to base, height 4.5cm, diameter 8.5cmAdditional InformationThe smaller cup has a fine crack tapering from the rim down, light fritting. The larger cup has some light fritting to the rim and also the foot rim with imperfections to the glaze.
A late 19th century Chinese Canton carved ivory handle for a fan, length 20.5cm, and a pair of late 19th century Indian carved ivory figures (3).Additional InformationThe fan holder is in good order with just light rubbing to some of the raised parts, one of the figures is present on the base and has striations which are stains running through the back, the feet have been glued to the base. The second figure is loose from the base and has damage to both feet. Both figures should have been holding something which is missing. There is also a little ivory tableau with kneeling figure.
