A modern Chinese sang de boeuf onion shaped vase table lamp 45 cm high including bayonet fixing but not lampshade holder CONDITION REPORTS Has all over crazing - assumed part of the glazing effect. In need of a clean. There is a small scratch to the main body of the lamp and a couple of firing flaws. The brass mount is scratched and has some pitting and a couple of small knocks. Unknown if in working order. Otherwise general wear and tear conducive with age and use to include light surface scratching, in need of a clean, etc. See images for more details.
Two 18th Century Bow figures of "Spring" and "Winter", blanc de chine glazed porcelain, depicting "Woman seated with flowers" 12 cm high and "Hooded gentleman seated by brazier", (circa 1755), 13 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Winter or man by brazier with damage to hand but no signs of either damage or restoration under UV light.Spring, girl with flowers with some damage and loss to the flowers, one leaf which would have over lapped the basket in particular and slight showing under UV light to the hat. Firing fault crack over glazed to the rear of the rocks. Firing or manufacturing defects to base. Right hand little finger appears to have crack but over glazed so possibly cracked during manufacture and restored before glazing - see image for detail
A Kangxi style porcelain charger decorated with figures around a table in a garden setting within a floral and panel decorated border, 33.5 cm diameter CONDITION REPORTS Under UV light no signs of repair or damage. Hairline crack from rim towards centre right hand side for 5 cm, visible front and back. Firing crack to the glazed underside. Some wear to the enamelling, particularly to the centrefield and edges. Some firing blemishes/pock marks to the glaze in several areas - see images for further detail

LESTER EPSTEIN (American, 1919-1963) AN INTERESTING FOLIO OF THE ARTIST'S WORK Comprising a total of approximately 170 items: drawings, watercolours, collages, etchings, some monoprints and similar prints (many of the prints duplicated), many items signed, various sizes (folio) * Epstein studied at the Isaac Delgardo Museum of Art and later served as a registrar there. He was integral to the artistic community in New Orleans and was known by some as the `St Louis Gauguin`. He wrote and published a few books in the late 1950s and met John Skeaping in Mexico (see Skeaping's `The Big Tree of Mexico`, London, 1952, chapter 12). Epstein stayed with the artist and his family in Devon although they briefly shared a house in Arles in 1960.
