A Georgian gilt metal paste rivière, c.1800, the necklace composed of graduated cushion-shaped, foil-backed blue paste stones, all set in gilt metal, dome back cut down collets, to a concealed box clasp, together with a Victorian gilt metal blue paste pendant, a pair of earrings, and a Victorian hinged gold bangle, composed of an oval and two pear-shaped light blue paste stones, claw set to a blade edge bar bangle, with concealed box clasp. Tested as approximately 15ct gold (5) CONDITION REPORT: Some wear to the gilding of the riviere with many soft solder repairs to the joining links The pendant and earrings match, although the paste stones in the earrings are of a lower saturation. Necklace length:410mm. Central largest: cushion shaped. Paste stone approximately 28.5mm x 16.5mm.

A gold mounted portrait miniature clasp, c.1780, the oval portrait miniature of a gentleman in a red coat, beneath a glazed cover to a crenulated frame with bead decoration. Hand engraved verso 'Henry Norreys of Davyhulme 1744'. An open box fitting to each side. Tested as approximately 18ct gold Henry Norreys Esq. was a Justice of the Peace for the County of Lancaster and married in 1779. Possibly painted at the time of his marriage. CONDITION REPORT: Light surface wear comensurate with age. An open box to each side, tongues deficient.

A Georgian navette shaped memorial clasp, c.1780, the ten row clasp, 39 x 29mm, with a painted memorial scene en grisaille beneath a glazed cover, the plinth below the urn to read 'DP obt. Feby - 10 1783 aged 59' and above 'in death lamented and in life beloved', concealed box clasp, four eyelets deficient, wriggle decoration verso with monogram, together with a Georgian double sided, glazed locket with split pearl border, with a row of split pearls in cut down collets to the bezel and bale, glass scratched, both tested as approximately 9ct gold (2) CONDITION REPORT: Light surface marks to the glazing, with patches of tarnish to the mount. Four eyelets deficient. The glazed pendant is very dirty, two pearls deficient.

Lot 184

A Victorian graduated rock crystal 'Pools of Light' necklace and bracelet suite, the necklace composed of eighteen spherical rock crystal beads, 10.8-24mm diameter, with each bead spectacle set in a band with dash decoration, and a scalloped guard to each side. Concealed box clasp, safety chain and evidence of pendant fitting to the central bead. The matching bracelet of twelve beads, 9.1-16.8mm diameter, that can be joined to the necklace and worn at a longer length. Tested as silver (2) CONDITION REPORT: Many of the eyelets are open and will have to be secured. Evidence there was once a pendant to the necklace. Some traces of gilding remain. Bracelet 190mm in length. Necklace 380mm in length. Chip to one sphere (see image). Section of gallery deficient (see image). There may be other inclusions of marks to the surface of the spheres, but as many turn in the spectacle settings, we can not discount them or provide images (see one image). Each sphere appears to be a whole, not two halves.

A single stone diamond ring, with a cushion cut diamond estimated as approximately 0.95ct, claw set to to a white rex collet. Yellow under bezel and shank. Diamond assessed as approximately: Colour: M/N Clarity: VS2/SI1 Finger size L½ CONDITION REPORT: All claws secure. No obvious wear to the shank, Light surface marks only. No chips: some naturals on the girdle; very slight facet edge wear to the crown.

A gentleman's single stone diamond ring, with an old European cut diamond, claw set to split shoulders with a plain shank. Marked 18ct. Finger size Q LE CONDITION REPORT: No chips, but mainly surface reaching inclusions. Thin to thick ground girdle, blending onto upper girdle facets. Wear to the claws, some a little thin. Light surface wear to the mount.

A circular gold hinged locket, with a hammered finish to the front cover, tested as approximately 18ct gold CONDITION REPORT: 19mm diameter. 29mm in length, including jump ring/bale. Good colour and finish. Light surface wear to the reverse.

A single stone diamond ring, set with a cushion cut diamond of approximately 1.49ct, the diamond eight claw set to a coronet collet, with chenier shoulders to a plain shank. Marked PLAT. Diamond assessed as approximately: Colour: L/M Clarity: P1-P2 Finger size O CONDITION REPORT: Claws all in very good condition. Light surface wear only. Dirty. No cloudiness or surface reaching inclusions. A few scattered carbon inclusions under the table and crown facets. Two very small indented naturals on the girdle (corner of the cushion). Bright lively stone. Claws secure, shank in wearable condition.

A pearl and diamond gold stick pin, c.1910, the slightly drop shaped pearl, untested, peg set above an old European cut diamond, to a plain pin. Case by Charles Packer & Co. Ltd., 76 and 78 Regent St., London CONDITION REPORT: Pearl approximately 8.1 x 7.4 x 6.53mm. Light cream body colour. Pink and green overtones. Good lustre.

Lot 287

A single row graduated natural pearl necklace with a French Art Deco diamond set clasp, a single row of seventy-five graduated natural pearls, 5.1-10.1mm in size, strung knotted to a single row Art Deco diamond set box clasp. The stepped rectangular geometric clasp, with a baguette cut diamond rub set to the centre, with lines of grain set old European and eight cut diamonds. Remnants of an unidentified signature at two separate points on the clasp. French poinçons for platinum, the tongue bearing French poinçon for white gold. Accompanied by a typed list in French of 129 pearls, taped to the inside of the lid of the box and dated 19th of May 1947, listing the individual grain weights of certain pearls along with total weights for all the pearls of that weight. Also accompanied by a pearl report from the Gem and Pearl Laboratory No. 08541 dated 10 September 2013, stating that all 75 pearls were found to be natural saltwater. CONDITION REPORT: 33.91g. Shape - round/semi-round. Colour - very light cream/white. Lustre - medium/good, slightly varies. Skins - the majority are smooth with occasional pimples or dimples. Overtones - rose and green.

A gentleman's 9ct gold Omega automatic bracelet watch, a circular, silvered, raised baton dial with centre second sweep. Integral Milanese bracelet with ladder snap clasp. Movement no. 22581066, case no. 348461, model 161/2-5002. Hallmarked 9ct gold Birmingham 1964. Bracelet hallmarked 9ct gold London 1968 CONDITION REPORT: 62.9g approximately. Appears to be original Omega bracelet with logo clasp. Crown has Omega logo. Light surface wear and marks to the case and bracelet. No obvious repairs or damage. Glass scratched. Some dust on the dial but no signs of moisture or deterioration. Winds and ticking. No guarantee give as to time keeping.

An 18ct gold single stone diamond ring, a brilliant cut diamond, with an estimated weight of approximately 2.15ct, ten claw set to a white rex collet, with yellow chenier shoulders and plain shank. Diamond assessed as approximately: Colour: M/N Clarity: P2/P3 Finger size N½ CONDITION REPORT: Claws deep and secure, although not well finished. Heavy weight shank with only light surface wear. Hallmark: Birmingham, no date letter. No surface reaching inclusions to the table, a couple to the star and kyte facets. Inclusions affecting the brilliance but not cloudy.

Diamond assessed as approximately: Colour: K/L Clarity: VS1 - VS2 Finger size J½ CONDITION REPORT: Diamond clean and bright. Claws secure in wearable condition. Two small indented naturals on the girdle to the left hand of the heart. Light surface wear to the mount.

The shoulders each with an arched band, grain set with three, eight cut diamonds to flat section ridged shoulders and plain shank. Marked 750. Principal diamond possibly fancy light brownish/pink. Finger size M CONDITION REPORT: Possibly C3 or light pinkish-brown.
