Tsai Chin (born 1 September 1933) is a Chinese actress, singer, director, teacher and author best known in America for her role as Auntie Lindo in the film The Joy Luck Club. Her career spans more than six decades and three continents. She starred onstage in London's West End in The World of Suzie Wong and on Broadway in Golden Child. Tsai Chin appeared in two James Bond films, 39 years apart: as a Bond girl in You Only Live Twice; and in Casino Royale. She also appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe television series Agents of S. H. I. E. L. D. episode The Only Light in the Darkness (2014) as Lian May and in the feature film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021) as Waipo. Her single, The Ding Dong Song, recorded for Decca, hit the top of the music charts in Asia. She was the first acting instructor to be invited to teach acting in China after the Cultural Revolution, when China's universities re-opened. Woodwork with dents and scratches to the surface conducive with age and previous use. Right hammer broken. Barrels dented and pitted outside and in through use. Action essentially works in that it breaks and hammer action appears to work. See images for further detail.

A Crown Devon Fieldings part dinner service "Leaping Stag" decoration in the manner of Susie Cooper comprising six cups and saucers, tea plates, side plates, large and smaller dinner plates, sauceboat, sugar basin, triangular dish, vegetable tureen and two serving platters (essentially 6 place settings) CONDITION REPORTS Two teacups have large chips to the rims. Two of the smaller tea plates - one has a large chip. The other has significant wear to the pattern. One of the bigger tea plates has a chip to the red rim. Otherwise items are generally very dirty and in need of a good clean. All have general wear and tear to include knife marks, spoon marks and some light wear to the red paintwork. See images for examples.Majority in reasonable order though with some light surface scratching, wear and tear etc conducive with age and use - all could do with a good clean - see particularly the oval serving dish. Four cups with chips and/or damage to the rims/paintwork. Sugar bowl with star crack to base and crazing. Cream jug with repaired crack. A pair of Sabino "Les Oursins" Art Deco frosted glass plafonniers, circa 1930, decorated with sea urchins and seaweed, 30 cm diameter x 7.5 cm deep CONDITION REPORTS The light mechanisms appear to be later replacements as they are tied in rather than secured in another way. Glass itself is very dirty with what appears to be limescale marks or suchlike to the interior. One has a crack approximately 7 cm long. One has small chips to the rim, otherwise wear and tear conducive with age and use, in need of a good clean - see images for more details.

A 19th Century Wedgwood Jasperware Portland vase modelled by Henry Webber and William Hackwood depicting the myth of Peleus and Thetis, the base decorated with the upper part of the figure of Paris and foliage stamped "Wedgwood" 26 cm high CONDITION REPORTS There are some firing cracks to the relief work, especially to the base. In need of a good clean inside and out. Some fly dirt marks marks, black marks, etc. There do not appear to be any chips to the base but there are several firing cracks to the figure in particular. General wear and tear conducive with age and use. See images for more detail. Under UV light there does not appear to be any sign of damage or repair. There is, however, one small chip to the surface side of the foot where the blue has been chipped down to the white beneath. See images for further details.

A Chinese Kangxi powder blue and gilt decorated onion-shaped vase with slender neck decorated with butterflies and flowers with blue concentric rings mark to base 43 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Has a large firing fault to the top of the neck as well as other firing faults throughout and wear to the gilded decoration throughout. Otherwise general wear and tear conducive with age and use to include some small chips to the top and base on the glaze. Some light surface scratching. Generally in need of a clean. A pair of Chinese famille rose palette chargers decorated with hooded cranes and blossoming foliage, 38 cm diameter CONDITION REPORTS One piece with hairline crack from the rim towards the centre for 8 cm. Several areas of nibbling / chipping to the rim. Some firing faults / pock marks to the glaze and some wear to the gilding and enamelling conducive with age and use. Firing crack to the centre between the flower and the crane. Glazing fault to the rim. See images for detail.Second charger - similar condition to the first but with some scratch marks around the outer rim of the centre. Wear to the gilding and enamel and chipping to the rim. A Chinese Kangxi punch bowl, the inner field decorated with fruit and flowers, the outside decorated with panels of figures in various interior and exterior settings, 38 cm diameter x 16.3 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Under UV light - two hairline cracks clear. One area of damage and repair / repainting - fingernail size. One hairline crack possibly only glaze thick to the underside as not visible from the top. Various pock marks to the glaze to the underside. Otherwise with slight areas of wear to the gilding and enamels, conducive with age and use. See images for close up detail.

An 18th Century Delft dish, the centrefield decorated with woman in garden setting holding a cornucopia in one arm and a flower in the other, raised on a circular foot, the edge with ochre lining, 30.2 cm diameter CONDITION REPORTS Some fritting/chipping to the edge and light surface scratching/crazing to the main centre area but no damage or repairs found under UV light.
