A Vic 1821 pattern light cavalry officer's sword of the Madras Cavalry, curved fullered blade 35½", with maker's name "Maynard & Harris, 126 Leadenhall St, London" (the style of the firm 1850-68) on one side at forte and "Warranted Proved" on the other with stamped name "Maynard", blade etched on one side with cross lances and pennants with scrolls "Madras" and "Cavalry", and on the other side with crowned VR cypher, all in finely scrolled panels, steel hilt with knucklebow and quillon, sideloop and 2 sidebars, stepped pommel, plain backstrap, wirebound fishskin grip, in its steel scabbard with 2 rings. A 6 shot 54 bore self cocking bar hammer open frame transitional percussion revolver with spring bayonet, 12" overall, octagonal barrel 6" with 3¾" triangular spring bayonet on the right side released by a sliding catch; B'ham proved; scroll engraved rounded frame, hammer, trigger guard and butt cap, the hammer pierced with a slot for sighting, the frame with 3" belt hook on the left side; with finely chequered walnut grips. A 19th century Italian white metal, turquoise oval brooch, the centre with gouache on ivory architectural scene, within white metal border set round cabochon turquoise, (one stone lacking, white metal assessed as silver), width 35mm, together with a white metal and cloisonne enamel cross, having raised filigree work and decorated with blue and green cloisonne enamel, containing a further wood cross within carved as a crucifix one side and figures the other, height 46mm, (as found), a white metal and guilloche enamel bracelet, formed from heart shaped links with light blue guilloche enamel to one side, length 18.5cm, (white metal assessed a silver), a jet and yellow metal circular brooch, and collection of costume and other jewellery. Ten plates are cracked. The large comported has the handle pinned. Extensive discolouration, rubbing, scratches and marks. Well used. Not viewed under UV light.

There is general rubbing and light scuffs. There are paint drops to the underside.
