ANCIENT GREASE - WOMEN AND CHILDREN FIRST LP (ORIGINAL UK MERCURY PRESSING - 6338 033). Extremely clean original UK copy of the eponymous (and only) LP from the Welsh rockers. The record is in superb Ex+ condition showing only a couple of extremely fine, faint and wispy markings under intense LED lighting. The sleeve is in clean Ex condition showing very faint remnants of a pen marking on the reverse and some rather light edgewear.

FOREST - FOREST LP (ORIGINAL UK PRESSING - HARVEST SHVL 760). The monstrous eponymous 1969 album from Forest (original UK Harvest pressing, SHVL 760). Side 1 is in VG+ condition with some light hairline markings which are never heavier. Side 2 is in VG condition. There are a number of surface/hairline markings noted that are much more obvious when held into the light - it should be noted that these are not scratches and are on the surface only. The gatefold sleeve is in remarkable Ex+ condition - a quite stunning example, there is only very slight wear.

Matrix: 636009 1Y//1 & 2Y//1. Complete with British patent number swirl inner in Ex condition. ALAN READ - HAUNTING SOUND 7" (GREEN SLEEVE RECORDS BEV SP 1150). A superb obscure acid Folk underground monster with this delightful 7" release from little known Alan Read - 'Haunting Sound' on the A side with Step Into Your Heart' on the flip. The record is in glossy Ex condition showing only a couple of rather light and minor surface markings. Vocal-wise it certainly wouldn't be unfair to say file next to Nick Drake, Read's melodies extremely sweet and can certainly have that effect of 'sending shivers' down your spine! The A side starts in quite a traditional structure though the guitar work suddenly changes to something more mysterious... The flip side is simple charming track, switching between the major key to the relative minor with beautiful Folk fluidity! Two really lovely tracks.

THE BEATLES - YESTERDAY AND TODAY ('BUTCHER COVER') - 3RD STATE - ORIGINAL STEREO PRESSING (CAPITOL ST-2553). A US stereo 3rd state Yesterday And Today - of the most controversial sleeve design of all time! The sleeve is in VG condition. A clean example, there is a complete seam split along the bottom edge, though this with care could be restored. The 'butcher' image is clean and sharp with a couple of very light paper tears. The sleeve measures 12 2/8" horizontally and 12 4/8" vertically. This copy was printed at Capitol's Los Angeles plant indicated by the 5 next to the RIAA logo on the reverse. Elsewhere on the reverse, all the text is sharp and clean, there is a light paper tear on the left hand side. The record is in glossy VG+ condition - very well presented indeed, there are some rather light and minor surface markings that never extend any deeper than this. There is a little red marker on the side 1 label and a name in pen on the side 2 label (on the yellow 'rainbow' perimeter). Matrix: ST-1-2553-B-16 & ST-2-2553-A-17.
