Match Against Time or Wood Beats Blood and Bone. A horizontal format framed and glazed hand-coloured print published by T. Tegg, 1819, depicting a race between a jockey and his horse and a hobby horse rider. Frame size 11.25 x 15.25-inches (28.5 x 38.5cm), visible print size within the frame 9 x 13-inches (23 x 33cm). Good colour, some light surface soiling.

A horizontal format coloured print published by The Leadenhall Press, July 16, 1891 illustrating a busy scene in the country 2 miles from London, with numerous hobby horse riders and onlookers. Frame size 14.5 x 17-inches (37 x 43cm), print size including the decorative border and publisher's details 10.5 x 12.25-inches (27 x 31cm). Good colour, some light surface soiling.

Vintage Sports Car Club 'Bulletin'. A run of bound volumes from March 1937 (with previous and later Interim Sheets) to 2017. The earlier smaller magazines in matching dark blue buckram bindings with silver titles and VSCC logo, while the later larger volumes are bound in light blue bindings with silver titles. All in delightful condition, the first and last volumes illustrated. (72)

Lot 64

A Joseph Lucas, 630 Series Lamp. A combination number plate and rear oil-powered lamp with correct oil reservoir, carrying bail and reflector. Delightfully retaining its original black enamel and nickel-plated finish, this is an early example named 'Back Light' In good, non-dented condition, just removed from dry storage, and just needs a clean.

A Sabino Mockingbird Mascot. Mounted on a brass and chromium-plated illumination base, (light-fitting missing) the genus of the bird is not clear, but probably a Northern Mockingbird which can be found in France. The Vaseline glass is in perfect condition; the foot cannot be seen, however. The mascot 5-inches (13cms) high

Shade and chimney associated. Tarnish and discolouration to brass. General light surface wear to body. Some knocks and dents to interior. Some scratches to glass well. Oil currently in the well. General wear commensurate with age and use. Small chips to lower rim of shade.
