Patrick Swift (1927-1983) STILL LIFE, c.1960-1961 oil on board numbered [104] in red on reverse; with the remains of a portrait on reverse 48 x 30in. (121.92 x 76.20cm) The artist's studio; Private collection; Private Collector Gallery, Cork; Whence purchased by the present owner. 'Patrick Swift 1927-1983', Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin 2, December 1993 to 13 February 1994, catalogue no. 43 'Patrick Swift 1927-1983', Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin, 1993, no. 43 (illustrated p.72) The exhibition catalogue for the 1993 retrospective situates the present work in the artist's London period from 1955-1962 and notes: Painted in his later sketchy style, this still-life gives a suggestion of light shining in from a window. Swift does not usually attempt to represent the effects of light and shade in a realistic manner, in fact his earlier paintings show his use of light in an arbitrary manner to create particular effects.
JUICY LUCY - LIE BACK AND ENJOY IT - The scarce original UK pressing of the 1970 album (Vertigo swirl 6360 014), presented in fabulous condition. The record is in Ex+ condition. The sleeve is in VG condition with some light ringwear (as many US releases of this era) and the tracks listed on the sleeve are all circle in blue pen.
THE JIMI HENDRIX EXPERIENCE - AS: BOLD AS LOVE - A very well presented original 1967 stereo pressing with the original inner. Track (613 003). The record is in VG condition. A clean LP for the majority, there is just a light scratch on track B6 that runs with the groove, this shouldn't cause too much disturbance to playback. Side 1 is in Ex condition. The original orange lyric insert is in excellent condition. The gatefold sleeve is in clean Ex condition with some minor edgewear.
SIGNED MEMORABILIA - 4 framed autographed displays and a signed LP to include Prince's '20Ten' CD with an album page reading "Love [???] Prince" in red permanent marker (24x30cm), a publicity image for The Dandy Warhols 1998 signed by the group (40x32cm), Electric Light Orchestra signed by drummer Bev Bevan (22x27cm), East 17 E-17 album sampler signed by the group (30x25cm) and The Psychedelic Furs LP Talk Talk Talk signed on the cover by the group in black permanent marker
