The painting has dropped slightly in the slip. Odd scuffs to the outer edges where it has moved in the frame. Areas of fine craquelure/shrinkage in places, especially to the darker paint surrounding his head and to the left of his head and lower left behind his arm. Small loss centre of right-hand side edge and one to the lower left of his jacket. The odd superficial surface scratch. Not examined with a uv light. Chips and knocks to frame.

Plate two - 18.5cm, heavy surface scratches to the interior. Plate three - 15cm, firing flaws and noticeable surface scratches to the interior. Saucer - 14.5cm, crazing and some light surface scratches and glaze losses. Rectangular dish - 27cm by 19.5cm, several chips to the rim and numerous areas of wear also to the rim. Surface scratches to the interior and firing flaws.
