The painting has dropped slightly in the slip. Odd scuffs to the outer edges where it has moved in the frame. Areas of fine craquelure/shrinkage in places, especially to the darker paint surrounding his head and to the left of his head and lower left behind his arm. Small loss centre of right-hand side edge and one to the lower left of his jacket. The odd superficial surface scratch. Not examined with a uv light. Chips and knocks to frame.
