A Spanish DB side by side 12mm boxlock pinfire pistol, 7¾” overall, round twist barrels 3¾” which tip downwards for loading and with automatic ejector on top incorporating unusual safety features which spring up when the pistol is cocked, the top rib engraved with “Montevideo” maker’s name (obscured by the ejector), the frame, including underlever, engraved with scrolls and originally inlaid with silver lilned borders (most now missing), with hidden triggers, fluted ivory butt carved with panels of foliage, and with steel butt cap.
