Commander Evans was a member of Scott's Terra Nova expedition and accompanied Scott to within 150 miles of the South Pole before being sent back in command of the second supporting party. He almost perished of scurvy but survived and toured the country giving lectures on the expedition.

With light scuff to front of bag measuring approximately 5 cm. Some wear to the four corners of the base above the piping and scuffing to the reverse of the base of the bag.
