One with narrow 40x2mm veneer loss to top front edge of upper drawer towards left hand side. Some surface facing and handling wear also. Bedside chest good and original. Stands well, good original colour. Some knocks and scuffs to baton uprights, but an overall very good and original example.
The "District Railway MAP of London', 6th edition, circa 1903. The 3rd issue of this edition. An inset states that the 'New Route to Upminster, Shoeburyness etc is now open". Some of the first tube lines are now included, either open, authorised or under construction. The proposed, but later abandoned, City & Brixton tube railway is still shown but now terminating south of the River. Opens out to 42" x 26" (107cm x 65cm). An unusually fine copy in very good order, even the covers evidence only light wear. [1]
c1910-15 POSTER MAP 'Great Central Railway and its Connections' with an inset enlarged-scale map of central England. Covers England and Scotland as far as Perth & Dundee. Shows ferry services to Ireland & the Continent as well as manufacturing & agricultural districts, upland, moorland & pasture. Strong, vibrant colours make this a very attractive map. Measures 26" x 39" (66cm x 100cm) and is generally in very good condition with very light wear. Folded. [1]
c1925-30 London's Tramways (LCC Tramways) double-crown POSTER 'Epping Forest Tram Services' by Tony Castle (1891-1971). A colourful image of a deer drinking from a steam in a sunny glade in the forest. Lists below the tram routes which went closest to the forest (at Woodford, Napier Arms). A scarce survivor from this series. Generally in very good condition, small foxing marks in the margins and on the reverse, very small, light creases in places. [1]

This famous and iconic series was produced after the disastrous 1958 bus strike and was a major campaign to woo back lost passengers. The posters, in typical LT fashion, turned the bullseye into a character, in this case a 'sandwich board man' with the slogan 'Hop on a Bus'. Posters are in excellent condition with only minor blemishes, light creasing. [2]

A 54-page booklet featuring prominent use of the then recently-introduced UndergrounD logo and incorporating a coloured system map, a monochrome illustration of the 'No need to ask a p'liceman' poster, sectional street plans with the Underground lines superimposed and a street index. An unusually good example - light staining and a crease to the cover but contents are very good. Spine has been reinforced. [1]
1899 District Railway illustrated GUIDE to the Greater Britain Exhibition at Earl's Court. 56pp booklet with fold-out District Railway Miniature Map of London - a special issue of the map overprinted with 'Greater Britain Exhibition & Gigantic Wheel' and a symbol of Britannia at the appropriate location. A little age-darkened, light stains to covers, staples have corroded but overall in very good condition. [1]
1932 London Underground linen-card POCKET MAP from the Stingemore-designed series of 1925-32. This is the last issue (the final pre-Beck Underground map) with mustard cover and showing all the line extensions completed with opening dates on the reverse. A very good copy, just a few light stains. [1]
1907 "District" [Railway] MAP of Greater London & Environs, 2nd edition. Shows the Franco-British Exhibition (held in 1908). A large-scale, full-colour map (42" x 26", 107cm x 66cm), linen-backed and folded into hard covers. Bakerloo, Hampstead & Piccadilly tubes shown in bold, non-Group tubes, eg Central and C&SLR, not so prominently! Also shows LUT Trams and all other railways. Map is in very good condition, the covers have light wear but are unusually good. [1]
