Curll, 1713. *** The 1773 edition of this work had the author's name printed on the title page. This was later appended to "The Gentleman Farmer" in 1726 and to Albin's "Esculent Fish", 1794. A second edition was published in 1855. A very entertaining book containing good advice about Irish fly dressings.

Smith & Son, 1897. *** Scarce. Presents the river from the Thames Head through Oxford to London Bridge, along the way describing canals, locks, fishing possibilities, bathing sites, etc.

Eiusdem de Venatione Libri IIII, (Graece), translated by Laurentius Lippius, woodcut printer's device on title, text in Greek and Latin, corner of front free endpaper with small tear, lacking one leaf (N7 or N8), hinges weak, contemporary vellum, a few small tears and holes to spine, light soiling, [Adams O200; Schwerdt II p.50; Westwood & Satchell p.163], 8vo, Venice, Aldus, 1517. *** Rare: the first Aldine edition. Brunet states that this edition is "Rare et recherche", although the text is thought to be less accurate than that of 1515. Contains Oppianus' poem on fishes in five books, his poem on hunting in three books, and Lippius' Latin translation of the former. Includes the first edition of the poem "de venatione".

Taverner (Eric) Trout Fishing From All Angles, A Complete Guide to Modern Methods, 448pp., plates, a little very light foxing, original buckram, gilt, Seeley, Service & Co., 1929; with 30 actual artificial flies mounted under plastic with captioned facsimile opposite, bound in similar contemporary buckram, n.d., together in contemporary drop-back box, 8vo. *** This is an interesting approximation of the limited edition. With the inclusion of the buckram-bound standard edition, it was obviously not intended to defraud. The mounted flies with plastic cover however seem to be the same as the limited edition. Whatever the reason, it is an interesting and perhaps unique presentation of this work.

Radcliffe, Beech Court, Upper Deal." Radcliffe was the author of "Fishing From the Earliest Times", 1921. 100 copies of this were produced for America with the additional imprint 'Eugene V. Connett The Derrydale Press New York City'.
