A 19th Century white metal and shagreen mounted etui opening to reveal scent bottle, scissors, spoon, etc., 18.5 cm long CONDITION REPORTS The top of the lid has had a repair to one of the corners. It looks as though the shagreen has been repaired along the seam or re-glued. The shagreen is coming away from the edges and has areas of light dis-colouration / patchiness. There is a spot of corrosion to the base. The scent bottle / glass vile - the lid is broken and the rim is nibbled. There is a chip to the base. Stopper is stuck in. There are larger, more noticeable dents to the knife handle and the rivet at the top is slightly corroded and there is damage to the surroundings. All items have general wear conducive with age and use to include scuffs, knocks, scratches, knocks, dirt, etc. See images for further details.

Some light scratches and other marks throughout. The metal appears pitted. General signs of wear and tear.

A pair of George V silver photograph frames with embossed Art Nouveau style decoration (by William Devenport, Birmingham, 1912), 23.2 cm x 16.2 cm, together with an Edwardian silver cushion framed mirror (Birmingham, 1906), 16.5 cm² CONDITION REPORTS There are a few indentations to the raised decoration on both frames. Both have general wear and tear conducive with age and use to include light surface scratching, tarnishing, knocks, etc. The velvet backing is wearing at the corners and top edge. The oak frame on one side is splitting slightly along the middle join. Cushion shaped framed mirror has two pins missing in the top right hand corner of the frame. There are some small dents and knocks. Has general wear and tear conducive with age and use. See images for more details.

AUGUSTUS OSBORNE LAMPLOUGH (1877-1930) "Three figures by ruins with further ruins on the Nile and figures on a far bank in background", watercolour, signed lower left, together with another by the same hand, 21 cm x 59 cm (2) CONDITION REPORTS Appear to be in modern gilt frames which are loose at corners and have some knocks and bumps and small cracks. The pictures themselves - there are a couple of patches of foxing on the glass but the watercolours themselves appear to be in reasonable condition, but some even light fading throughout. There are a couple of very small pinhead size foxing marks to the skyline to each one.

A pair of 18ct gold tourmaline and diamond set ear clips and small pair of emerald and diamond ear clips CONDITION REPORTS Tourmaline clips - some light pitted type marks and small scratches to the tourmaline, some light scratch marks to the gold, general signs of wear and tear. Emerald clips - green stones with some pitted like marks to surface, some very faint light scratches throughout, some general signs of wear and tear.

Lot 193

An early 19th Century gentleman's black buttoned jacket with lacework cuffs, together with a silk and floral embroidered waistcoat, white lace ruff, black felt hat and two shoe buckles, framed CONDITION REPORTS Difficult to give a condition report as it is in a frame, however, from what is visible, it overall appears to be in fairly good condition with strong colours throughout. There is some brownness appearing to the lacework and the ribbons have areas of brown spots. Approx sizes - waistcoat measures from collar to longest point at base approx 56cm, waistcoat lining along the neck is deteriorating and coming away from the outside, and there is a small amount of loose threads appearing from the bottom of the lining of the waistcoat. The black jacket - along the white edging around the neck there is some visible signs of fraying along the collar approx - covering approximately half of the collar, although all other visible piping appears reasonable with some light areas of wear. The jacket - from top of collar to bottom of tail measure approx 100cm.

A pair of late 19th / early 20th Century Chinese vases painted in underglaze blue with panels depicting vases, birds amongst flowers and foliage, 28.5 cm high CONDITION REPORTS One vase has small chip to rim with orangey colour underneath and some dirty marks and fire faults in places, some small light scratches. Second vase - all of rim feels rough to touch and some scratches to body and fire faults in places with small chips to base with wear throughout.

Lot 190

19TH CENTURY ENGLISH SCHOOL "Jack Russell terrier with prize in green gated barn", oil on canvas, unsigned, 27 cm x 33.5 cm CONDITION REPORTS Crazing throughout to the paintwork. Perhaps slightly yellowed. Has had restoration and repairs throughout, and has been restretchered. Restoration appears to have been professionally done, although the canvas is still now a little loose, possibly indicating that the repairs were done some time ago. Cracking to the oil throughout but due to the restoration appears to be secure. Small impressed mark to the middle of the picture. Frame with some small chips, nibbles and some small cracks. Veneer showing signs of lifting in places. Under UV light the whole picture appears milky. There is a large dark section from the top left corner running to the middle. Also a dark mark to the bucket and to the right of the counter. Some dark marks to the wall and some dark marks to the top right hand corner suggesting re-painting.

Lot 849

A 19th Century child's yew wood and elm stick back rocking armchair, the shaped seat on baluster turned supports united by C scroll rockers CONDITION REPORTS All over some light scratches, marks, dark marks, impressed marks, etc throughout. Rockers are not symmetrical. Wear and tear throughout. It is not known whether rockers are original, presumed not. Front is broken and repaired. One of back legs also repaired.

An 18ct gold mounted rounded rectangular facet cut aquamarine pendant (approx 20 mm x 25 mm x approx 10 mm deep), together with an 18ct gold chain (chain 13.7 g) CONDITION REPORTS Overall in good condition with no visible signs of damage, although with signs of very light surface scratching to the back. The makers mark on the pendant loop is "H - M" only other marks are 750 and Birmingham anchor mark. The stone is being sold as an aquamarine (nobody who has viewed has disputed this). Measurements of stone are approx 2.5 x 2cm

A pair of 20th Century Chinese porcelain baluster shaped vases with elephant mask and ring handles, decorated in underglaze blue with scrolling floral and foliate design, together with two circular turned wood stands, 30 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Both vases are quite dirty and have spotting of white paint throughout. Some generally light rubbing and one or two black dots of firing faults in the white glaze are visible throughout. There is some rubbing and scuffs to bases. The wooden bases both have signs of wear and a lot of paint spotting throughout. Rims feels rough. White paint marks all over. Small scratches.

Lot 529

A garnet and filigree yellow metal set necklace 41 cm long, together with a similar scrolling foliate decorated bracelet CONDITION REPORTS Some light wear with a little bit of rubbing length of bracket 18cm excluding clip, weight of bracelet 0.795 ozt approx garnet size in bracelet 1.75 oval cut each. Stones in necklace and bracelet are approximately the same size, perhaps a little smaller in the necklace, it is not known whether they are almandine or pyrope garnets.

A Royal Doulton Chang vase of tapering form by Harry Nixon, designed by Charles Noke, covered in a volcanic running glaze with splashes of greens, reds, yellows and turquoise over a flambe ground, the base monogrammed "HN" and inscribed "Noke 122120 Royal Doulton England" and bearing indistinct impressed mark "BA1788B", 16 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Some light surface scratching and various firing faults to the glaze.

ANTHONY VANDYKE COPLEY FIELDING (1787-1855) "Chepstow Castle", watercolour, signed lower right and dated 1836, 19 cm x 25.5 cm CONDITION REPORTS Some light yellowing to picture with some possible slight water damage to the top of the picture - possibly from red cliffs running into the sea, general small signs of wear, frame with some small chips and nibbles with wear throughout and long horizontal line running across the paper. Damage to cliffs - looks like probable water damage.

A pair of 19th Centure Sèvres porcelain urns and lids with ormolu and gilt metal mounts and ram's head handles, each raised on a gilt metal plinth, one painted with a scene of a lady in 18th Century dress wearing blue dress and striped petticoat with gentleman in pink outfit holding a spade and painted verso with a riverside scene, the other painted with a lady with fan wearing a pink and white dress with gentleman wearing green jacket and brown breeches and painted verso with a lake scene with castle in background, all on a cobalt and gilt decorated ground, the covers painted with floral sprays on a cobalt blue and gilt decorated ground, 47 cm high including cover and finial CONDITION REPORTS First vase -with gentleman in green coat and seated lady in pink dress: wear to the giltwork to the top, wear to giltwork all over, some light scratches all over, some pitted marks to the metal. Second vase - wear to giltwork, various pitting to the metal, light scratches throughout, general small signs of wear and tear. Both vases generally good. Lids - one lid is significantly broken and repaired and has missing sections, cracks all over. Other lid - chipped, wear to the giltwork, but lid in far better condition than the other one.

Lot 304A

A brass Art Nouveau ink and pen stand with lily pads to the back, two glass and brass inkwells, one in a blue irradescent finish, the other in a green flower head design, marked to base "Geschützt", 26 cm diameter CONDITION REPORTS Brass stand has some light scratches throughout, old polish in crevices, generally good apart from a brown stain (please see images). Green bottle has light scratches throughout, generally good. Blue bottle has light scratches throughout, general small signs of wear and tear all over.

Lot 845

A 19th Century oak cricket table of typical form, the circular top on splayed chamfered supports, 71 cm diameter CONDITION REPORTS Some light scratches to the top. One large split. One piece appears to have been off and reglued. Planks are becoming separated. Stains. General wear and tear. Edges have splits, two holes to the edges. Pin holes to edges. Old woodworm holes to the top. Underside has significant signs of repair to the top, woodworm holes. Base is not original. Large signs of wear and tear throughout.

A pair of Victorian brass candle lustres, the reeded sockets with fruit embossed drip pans, the cut glass drops on wild rose supports, raised on a fruit decorated knop stem to stepped circular foot, 21 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Significantly out of circular. Knocks and bumps, damaged to the top. All over small scratches. Metal tarnished. Bases with some dents and knocks also. Second candlestick - some knocks to the top, not overly out of circular. Some general wear and tear all over, light scratches, tarnished metal, knocks to the base and is out of circular. Both with general wear and tear.

Lot 389

A William IV silver gilt taper stick stand in the form of a harlequin holding a sconce, standing on a floral embossed base, 14 cm high, 5.4 oz CONDITION REPORTS Some light scratches all over, some small pitted marks, dish the figure is carrying is tipping forward slightly, old polish evident in crevices, some chips marks to the base. Wear and tear. Unable to get a clear photo of the hallmark.

ALEXIS DE LEEUW (1848-1883) "Horses and timber cart in a snowy rural landscape at dusk", oil on canvas, signed lower right, 97 cm x 76.5 cm CONDITION REPORTS Has had restoration. Under UV light there has been some repainting across the centre of the sky above the green trees, and on the bay horses neck. The picture has been relined. There is a small amount of cracking where the picture has been restored but it appears secure. The gilt frame has flaking in approx 3 small areas about 1 x 1cm each , and there are knocks and bumps to the corners. Some knocks to the giltwork and a some small chips along edges.

An Indian carved ivory pot and cover decorated with elephants on a mountain roadway, the cover with elephant pulling a tree stump finial, 22 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Diameter at base max - 14cm approx by 11 cm widest points - overall general light scratches small marks, a small chip to elephants head on finial all some wear throughout - base is unstuck and is separate.
