Botany. Five fine hand coloured lithos. after Edmund Thomas (1827-67), pub. Day & Son., c.1850s, hand coloured lithos. heightened with gum arabic, some light toning, sheet size approx. 475 x 320 mm, all mounted. We have been unable to ascertain the work from which these prints originate. One very similar image of a Breadfruit is to be found in the Pictures catalogue of the National Library of Australia. Edmund Thomas is well known for his views of Sydney contained in the Australian Album of 1857, and his 1853-54 series of Melbourne views. (5)
