A Māori Greenstone (Pounamu) Pendant (Hei Tiki), probably 18th/19th century, of typical embryonic form with tilted head, recessed eye sockets, raised pupils, and hidden suspension hole 11.2 x 5.3cm (max) Hei tiki were treasured heirlooms, often given their own names and passed down from generation to generation, gathering natural powers in the process.
