A set of five mid 19th century Staffordshire Pratt type plate of octagonal form, with raised floral border and each plate centred with a name; 2x Margaret, Elizabeth, Charlotte and Lucy, diameter 16cm, also two small mid 19th century dishes, one inscribed "Not To Oversee Workmen is To Leave Them Your Purse Open", the second inscribed "The Eye of The Master WIll Do More Work Than Both His Hands", diameter 11cm (7). CONDITION REPORT: Eye of The Master: has three cracks and a couple of tiny pin head sized pre-glaze hips to the rim and some light staining. Not To Oversee: has a chip to the rim, a couple of pin head sized chips, two of which are underglaze, a 1cm hairline and two further very fine hairlines. Five name plates all have staining throughout, Charlotte has a small chip to the back, Elizabeth has a 3cm hairline crack, one Margaret has a star crack to the back and all show signs of rubbing.

CONDITION REPORT: The majority of the chair appears to be 18th century, including the top rail, back splat and frame. However, the arms are late 19th/early 20th century replacements, the plank seat is possibly replaced, and there are signs of heavy wear throughout, some light signs of old woodworm to the legs.
