David JAMES (1853-1904) Waves breaking on the Cornish Coast Oil on canvasSigned23 x 38cm This oil has two patches near the edge of the canvas and a third area of what may be varnish possibly used to stabilise. Under UV light there is no indication of overpainting and none has been seen with the naked eye. It presents as being in excellent, uncleaned, stable condition. The impasto is uncompramised.The work is unlined and without any significant cracking or shrinkage. The canvas is not perfectly flat, but almost.

A circa 1928 Heals oak wardrobe in the Arts & Crafts taste, the domed top above four plain panels with chamfered stiles opening to reveal a shelf and hanging space raised on bracket feet 84 cm wide x 175.5 cm high x 46 cm deep CONDITION REPORTS Significant alterations to the interior. Appears that there would have originally been four or five shelves and possibly a hanging rail higher plus pieces missing on the doors - see images for more detail. Exterior: there is a small chip missing from the left hand door at the bottom on the right hand side. There is some filling in to points on both side panels at the top edge centre. There are some white marks and there are the remains of a sticker on the left hand side panel. The top has some surface roughness and in a very dusty condition conducive with manufacture and use. Otherwise general wear and tear to include some surface scratching, light knocks etc. General wear and tear conducive with age and use - see images for more details

A collection of sundry items to include a Pifco Infrared radiant heat lamp, an Art Deco green painted lead and glass lamp with moulded glass Angel fish on a wave stand with frosted glass lampshade of disc form, 32 cm high, a Susie Cooper six piece pottery hors d'oeuvres set, a mid 20th Century English waisted table lamp base and a Servex painted and chrome plated two handled tray CONDITION REPORTS The heat lamp has losses to the paintwork as well as crazing to the paintwork throughout. Larger scratch to the top of the black handle/support. Appears to be something missing from the top back of the lamp - uinknown what.Fish lamp has losses to the paintwork of the base throughout. Has a build up of a waxlike substance to the base of the lightbulb holder. Circular glass disc has a roughness to the edge. Susie Cooper hors d'oeuvres set - all pieces are badly crazed and discoloured and one of the small square dishes has a chip to the edge. Servex tray - the two handles are loose but present and on. There is crazing to the paintwork and some losses to it and there is some losses to the chrome plating particularly to one corner piece. The waisted table lamp - no fittings, heavily crazed. All items in need of a good clean and have general wear and tear to include light surface scratches etc - see images for more details
