There appears to be a blockage to the bottle neck. Denting and wear around the neck. Grille in good order, no splitting or signs of repair. A Victorian novelty silver coloured propelling pencil by Sampson Mordan, modelled as a cat in standing position with fur effect chasing, registration mark to pencil shaft, 43mm long, set to a silver coloured Arts & Crafts style bracelet, 18cm long (at fault) Condition Report; Pencil is pictured fully extended. The mechanism opens and closes flush, but is very stiff. There is heavy misshaping and splitting around the nib (see pictures). Heavy wear to the Rd number on the pencil, but S.Mordan & Co mark is clear. The pencil is lacking lead. The inner pencil does not rotate to extend the internal lead, this may be a fault and repair may be required.Small areas of splitting to the tail and mouth. Some light denting, moderate scratching, and moderate wear/loss of definition to the engraved decoration, mostly concentrated around the tail. Some build-up and discoloration around the internal channel. No obvious signs of repair.Thinning to the piercing of the bracelet links. Possible signs of solder repair to some of the links. Two Flight, Barr & Barr cabinet plates, early 19th century, each with central polychrome enamel floral spray within gilt rococo scrolled border, surrounded by butterflies against a pale blue ground, the shaped rim with gadrooned edge, impressed maker's mark and printed iron red circle mark enclosing the Royal Arms and Prince Of Wales feathers (used from 1813 to 1819) (2)CR; Example pictured right shows several areas of loss to the gilt on the shaped rim and scroll border (see pictures). Example pictured left shows minor loss to the gilt on the shaped rim, and more extensive loss to the scroll border. Enamel decoration is in good order, showing light scratching and wear, but no notable areas of damage or obvious signs of restoration. No chips, hairline cracks or crazing. 1974 MG B GT - Odometer reading 86,500 miles - 'Blaze' orange paintwork with dark cloth upholstery - One family owned since 1976 - MOT'd until June 2022Launched in 1962 replacing the MGA, the MGB was introduced as a four-cylinder roadster then subsequently a 2+2 coupe a few years later in 1965. Immediately popular, production lasted until 1980 thanks to the highly-rated Pinninfarina sporty-hatchback styling. It remains as popular today amongst enthusiasts with clean, original examples fetching well into the five-figures.Our MG B GT is specd in blaze orange paintwork with dark cloth interior which has according to the vendor been repainted when having a light restoration in the nighties. Count Joseph Potocki: 'Sport in Somaliland', London, Rowland Ward, 1900, 1st edition in English, limited edition (32/200), numbered and signed by Rowland Ward, "One of the rarest of all African big game hunting books", Czech (Africa) p.133, portrait colour frontis of author from a water-colour sketch by the distinguished Viennese studio of J. Löwy, photographer to the imperial and royal courts, plus 18 photogravures printed on india paper and mounted on light card leaves hinged with linen, 5 of them double page, as called for, lacking some tissue guards, and two tissue guards with child's scribbling, lacks large folding map at end, p.43/44 torn with large part loss affecting text/black & white ill. in text, numerous illustrations to the text, some full-page, most tinted, photogravure plates generally reasonably clean and ok, minimal foxing, but a small number with light tidemark to lower margin and some marginal soiling, one or two other leaves with marginal part loss/closed tears, small number of leaves loose, imperial 4to, original light tan pictorial buckram (bumped and worn/slightly grubby), title gilt to spine and front board, image of "Our Biggest Lion" in black to front board, embossed snakeskin effect endpapers, linen hinges, top edge gilt. A sumptuous work, this volume recounts the 1895 safari of Polish aristocrat and sportsman Potocki and his comrades to Somaliland's Haud region, then into Ogaden. The excellent artwork in the book is from the talented Polish illustrator Piotr Stachiewicz

With 6 full-page copperplate engravings engraved by Johann Sebastian Müller, (the frontispiece unusually bound before signature 'c') , and 13 engraved vignettes including title vignette. The six poems are printed and foliated on the recto only. 'Odes by Mr. Gray' and the 'Explanation of the prints', by Horace Walpole, are printed on both the recto and verso. Worm tracks to edges of endpapers and first two printed leaves. Light brown stain encroaching 13 cm from base, affecting the first 16 leaves. Contents: Ode on the spring -- Ode on the death of a favorite cat -- Ode on the distant prospect of Eton -- The long story -- Hymn to adversity -- Elegy written in a country church-yard -- Odes. Original "cats paw" calf. Corners rounded, Re-backed at some time in the past, with later red leather title label. Contemporary catspaw calf. George Prince of Wales and Caroline Princess of Wales: a pair of Wedgwood blue jasperware oval portrait medallions each applied in white with elaborately hatted head and shoulder profiles, probably 19th century or later, both 133mm high, overmounted and framed* The portrait of George is attributed to Flaxman and was taken from the drawing by Edmund Scott, depicting him in the uniform of Colonel of the 10th Light Dragoons. It dates from an early period than the portrait of Caroline, which is also attributed to Flaxman after Edmund Scott and was engraved by T. Barrow in 1795. Depicted in complimentary extravagant headwear it seems probable that this pair of plaques was originally made to celebrate their wedding on 8th April 1795 however Wedgwood may well have reissued these medallions at a later date.See Wedgwood the Portrait Medallions by Reilly & Savage, pages 83 and 168.
