Militaria: A Waterloo medal awarded to Sergeant John Kilbanks of the 52nd Foot regiment. Wreathed George head, verso with Waterloo, Wellington and June 18th 1815 date, engraved Serj. John Kilbanks 1st Batt 52nd reg foot. Sgt Kilbanks served in Captain Chalmer's company for waterloo and was not wounded. He joined the 52nd in Nov 1814 as bandmaster and was discharged August 1821, having served previously in 10th light dragoons, 4th foot, and 7th light dragoons.Medal on ring suspension with blue and red stripe ribbon.
