Key addition to any Bowie collection with this original UK copy of The Man Who Sold The World. The record (even more scarce misprint copy with 'Tonny' credits both sides) is in sharp VG+ condition showing a few light and minor surface hairline marks to the playing surfaces and some rather minor 'shadowing', none of this is ever at all heavier. Machine stamped matrix with 1Y//1 & 2Y//1 endings. The original dress sleeve is strictly graded as G+. The iconic image of Bowie is in clean order showing only some minor foxing, however please note there is black tape around the perimeter of the front and rear of the sleeve with roughly the bottom 1/3 of the rear also covered in tape. A solid copy here with a clean record that would look great framed up?!

A smashing example of the original UK stereo pressing of the legendary 'dress sleeve' LP of David Bowie's 1971 album The Man Who Sold The World, with misprinted label credits. Producer Tony Visconti is instead listed as 'Tonny' (6338 041, 1971 UK stereo pressing on Mercury. Black & silver textured labels are bright and legible with a small amount of spindle wear around the centre hole, with the misspelt 'Tonny Visconti' credit. 6338041 1Y//1 & 2Y//1 matrix. Side 1 has a small number of hairline paper surface marks, strong VG+/ side 2 is in stronger, beautiful Ex condition. The 'dress' sleeve has some light edge storage wear, including a white line across the top edge of the cover. The spine edge is clean and legible).
DAVID BOWIE - HUNKY DORY LP (NEW ZEALAND OG - RCA LSP 4623). A stunning example of an original New Zealand pressing of David Bowie's 1971 studio album Hunky Dory. The story goes that the cover artwork was missing when sent over to New Zealand prior to pressing so when made up that's why the first pressings have the rear cover on both sides (LSP 4623, 1971 New Zealand pressing on RCA Victor. Orange labels are lovely, bright and legible. Side 1 label has the name Ian Morris written on it, which coincidently coincides with I MORRIS which is etched into the runout groove. The record is lovely, bright and glossy. It displays some light paper surface marks, strong VG+. The cover with rear image on both sides has minimal edge shelf wear, some of the white areas do have some light foxing. Name written on top left corner of the 'cover', VG+).

Red/ white labels are lovely, bright and clean. Bell Sound matrix. The record has some light paper surface marks/ light paper scuffs. VG+/ The sleeve with a glossy cover has some tape along the bottom and spine edge. The spine edge and top edge have splits, the spine edge is split all the way along. The covers front and rear have minor storage wear, for the most part, lovely, bright and clean. G+).

His work is notable for his taste for materials, especially steel, which he endows with a great lightness and a gentleness that is not befitting of its unyielding nature. His language, strong and emphatic, results in dynamic, light and sensitive sculptures, capable of moving the viewer, even though each piece has as many readings as there are spectators. Pastor combines his facet as an artist with that of lamp designer in Falsa Escuadra, a project that exploits his facet as a craftsman to the full, as each piece is completely handmade in a unique way, from start to finish.

The first 12 plates show studies of leaves, the following ones designs for vases, paper patterns, wallpapers etc.. The plates, each mounted under silk chemises with printed titles, were made after watercolours by the painter. - In places inconspicuously foxed. Book block cracked. Good copy, colours strong.

Das Wasser und was außerdem zum täglichen Leben vonnöten war, musste aus dem rund 1000 km entfernten Kapstadt herantransportiert werden. Das Baumaterial für die teils hochherrschaftlichen Häuser nach deutschem Vorbild, deren Einrichtungen und die Maschinen kamen aus Deutschland und wurden meist in der Hafenstadt Lüderitz angelandet. Vintages, mostly albumen, some silver gelatin prints. - Shown are among others: Locomotive shed, transformer station, halftower and diamond washing plant, mining area with halls, erecting the unloading tower, first houses of the rich Germans, Lüderitzbucht electricity plant, diamond fields with diamond washing building, Elisabeth Bay with ship, sand supply bridge to the new diamond washing plant, diamond fields with clarification basin and dump railway of the colonial mining company KBG, diamond fields Kaukausib diamond processing plant, Schmidtfeld dredger, dredging plant in operation in the background the light railway, diamond fields with bridge for the mine field railway, railway system, pumping station Elisabeth Bay with transformer house. - Somewhat wavy, partly faded, bumped and with small marginal defects, 4 prints with vertical centrefold. - The now abandoned town of Koolmanskop was the richest town in Africa around 1911, with administrative and service buildings, an electricity station, a hospital (with Africa's first X-ray station), an ice factory for the production of block ice, besides accommodation for the workers, a corner shop, a butcher's shop, a building called the 'ballroom' with a theatre, gymnasium and canteen kitchen, a bowling alley, a school, a saltwater swimming pool and a narrow-gauge railway for transporting goods and people within the village. Water and other necessities for daily life had to be transported from Cape Town, some 1000 km away. The building materials for the houses, some of which were of German design, as well as their furnishings and machinery, came from Germany and were mostly landed in the harbour town of Lüderitz.
