An Imperial German officer’s dress sword, curved, pipe backed blade 32”, double edged at point, etched and gilt for half length with elaborate floral and foliate panels, and maker’s name “M. Neumann, Hoflieferaut (Purveyor to the Court) Berlin” along the back edge, false damascus to lower half of blade, elaborate gilt hilt with crossguard and quillon, langets, knucklebow, lion’s head pommel and backstrap, with ornamental panels and foliate devices overall, and coat of arms to centre of knucklebow, wirebound fishskin grip, with its steel scabbard with 2 brass bands and rings, retaining a little original plating (light surface rust). Generally Very Good Condition, retaining most original gilt. Plate 19
A 1796 pattern light cavalry officer’s sword, broad, curved, shallow fullererd blade 32½”, etched and blued and gilt for two thirds length with crowned 1801-16 Royal Arms with supporters and motto, trophy of arms, etc, and Union spray, on one side, and on the other with crowned GR cypher, trophy of instruments etc, mounted horseman and flourishes, steel stirrup hilt with crossguard and langets, pronounced knucklebow, plain forward sloping pommel and backstrap, ribbed fishskin (worn) grip, in its steel scabbard (worn and pitted, one ring missing). Sword Good Condition, the blade retaining approx 70% blueing and gilding. Plate 19
A Georgian Naval officers hanger, flat, sharply curved blade 21", double edged towards point, lightly etched for half length on both sides with trophy of arms and foliate flourishes, gilt mounted hilt with flattened shallow S shaped crossguard, small chain link up to flattened lion’s head and mane pommel and backstrap, chequered ivory grip (crack to left side) in its polished leather scabbard with brass locket, middle band and chape, 2 rings, the locket engraved “Bond 45 Cornhill”. Good Condition retaining approx 40% gilt and traces to scabbard (a little light pitting to blade) Plate 20
A mid 19th century Belgian cavalry trooper’s helmet, white metal skull and peaks with brass edging, brass comb with ornamental panelled sides and grenade finial in front, rayed ear rosettes bearing a grenade and imitation graduated chinscales, lion’s head helmet plate, black “shaving brush” plume in socket to the front, falling black hair plume at the back and 11" light blue feather plume in socket on left side, leather liner. The blade only of an Imperial German presentation naval dirk, of “maiden hair” damascus steel with early Eickhorn mark, etched “Friedrich Wilhelm s./l Cassius M. Sch. 1910-11”, the tang stamped “Damast”. GC (light wear and patches of rust); an unfinished blade for an SA or SS dagger (surface rust overall); and a crosspiece for an army officers’ dagger. GC (3)

A rare .65” 1776 type Volunteer military flintlock rifle, by Morris (Birmingham) c 1800, 44” overall, octagonal twist barrel 28”, with 8 groove rifling, false breech, Tower private proofs, 2 folding leaf rearsights, dove tailed brass fore sight, and screw holes on each side of the muzzle to take screws for the rammer swivels (now missing), the breech tang engraved with Rifle Brigade or Light Infantry strung bugle; flat stepped lock having swan neck cock, semi rainproof pan, and roller on the frizzen spring, the cock and plate having single line border, the latter engraved with large crown over “GR” and signed “Morris” (Henry Morris of Birmingham, later made Baker rifles for the Ordnance); walnut fullstock with iron fore end cap and brass mounts, comprising three ramrod pipes, the top two with rammer retaining spring between them, scroll trigger guard, flat Land Pattern sideplate, butt plate and hinged Baker type butt trap cover, trigger guard and fore end pierced to take sling swivels (now missing); steel ramrod pierced at its upper end and slotted at the lower end. Good Working Order and Condition(the barrel has been lightly pitted and cleaned).
