BROOKS, Professor Christopher: Design for (or copy of) stained glass window in the high gothic style. Signed with monogram. Professor Brooks was a leading light of the VIctorian Society, a prodigious publisher of scholarly books and articles and an expert in stained glass (he co-authored a key study of the great window of Exeter Cathedral). He was highly influential in promoting the restoration of The Albert Memorial. He published his 'masterpiece' (The Guardian obituary), 'The Gothic Revival' in 1999. There is a small loss to (St Peter's?) face.
A Victorian Rifle Brigade Officers cross belt or pouch plate white metal, crowned "WATERLOO" over a Maltese Cross, bearing title circlet with central crowned strung bugle, resting within laurel, the cross bearing honours, having backing plate sandwiching black velvet, 3 5/8in. (9.2cm.) high. *Light surface wear only, good.

Smith, 1830, inscription to front inner, cloth boards, uncut pages, together with Carey, Edith F. & Wimbush, H. B. The Channel Islands, painted by Henry B. Wimbush, described by Edith F. Carey, published 1904 by Adam and Charles Black, London and Duncan's History of Guernsey. A Gentleman’s cream mid 19th century tailored silk and cotton waistcoat with silk embroidered butterfly and floral embellishment and six covered buttons, with buckle cinch to the back; together with a Victorian baby’s silk bonnet, trimmed with lace and feather down, with gathered crown; and a Victorian black cotton ladies purse, with silk ribbon decoration. 9in. (22.9cm). (3) *Light discolouration and a minor stain.
A Royal Engineers Volunteers Officers Home Service Helmet early 20th century, dark blue cloth body cork helmet with volunteer pattern officers home service helmet plate, having central scroll blanked, silvered rosette side bosses, cruciform spike base with rosettes and officers fluted spike, leather sweatband and crimson cloth lining to interior, housed in original tin hat box, together with a leather binoculars pouch, pair of white dress gloves and a portapee. * Provenance: Helmet belonging to A.W. Bowerbank, Engineers, later joining C & A Parsons, developed steam turbines for Cunard, then worked on National grid of Canada and later Battersea Power Station. *Light wear, missing chin strap, tin with rust, overall good.
A boxed Minox-A subminiature 'spy' camera 1950s, complete with original leather case and chain, in the original box with Spanish instruction booklet; together with a matching boxed Minox MinoSix light meter, with leather case and chain; a leather cased Minox tripod; and later 1960s boxed Minox Viewer-Cutter and Slide Frames. (5) *All pieces in very good condition, with only evidence of very light use. The shutter on the camera functions. The rare boxes are foxed and the lid of the camera box has a split to one side.
Queen, The Complete Works vinyl LP Box Set 1985 ref. QB1, containing fourteen LPs in white embossed sleeves, plus book, Tour Itinerary 1971-1985 and world map displaying countries where Queen has charted and appeared in concert, in the original lidded box. *LPs near mint - appear to have been played very little, if at all. The map and tour itinerary have some foxing. Box has a crease to top left of lid, some scuffs and light scratches and a small indent to top right of the lid. Very faint price sticker adhesive mark to top right corner.
A collection of six Chinese interior painted glass snuff bottles20th century, of varying forms to include a pink glass version of flattened ovoid form, interior painted with monkey running through forest to one side, the other with vase and flowers, oval foot, 2 ¾in. (7cm.) high; an amber coloured bottle, interior painted with a carp and pond scene; the others each decorated with either cockerels, pheasant or other birds; together with one exterior enamelled with twin birds to either side amidst foliage, with domed light orange hardstone stopper, blue character signature to base. (17.5cm.) wide, impressed and printed marks, shape no. 775 and 776, c.1880. (2) *The boy with tiny nibble/slice to left hand side of hat, otherwise good with very light rubbing.
A Baccarat black glass baluster shaped square section vaseJaponesque style, decorated in gold depicting birds on branches, baccarat in gold to side of foot, the underside with Baccarat acid mark, 10in. (25.4cm.) high. *Heavy, light surface marks to underside of foot, no chips or cracks, good.
Royal Jersey Light Infantry interest - Four silver shooting medals awarded to J. JÉGU, the first of cross form, the centre inscribed '2nd R.J.L.I', having blue ribbon with silver dated bars 1903,1904,1905, hallmarked for Robert Pringle and Sons, Birmingham, 1902, the others of varying forms, all inscribed with initials 'JMJ' two dating 1906, one inscribed 'MARKS', the other dating 1909, engraved 'Colonels Cup'. (4)

(9.25cm.) long; together with an .830 silver jam spoon with scrolled barleytwist stem and foliate bowl; a Danish silver and parcel gilt pickle fork and spoon by W&S Sorensen; a .835 coffee spoon; and a mother-of-pearl caviar spoon with jewelled 18ct gold mount. (6) *All in good condition, with no damage, apart from some light salt tarnish speckling to the jam spoon.

A Sherwood Foresters Derbyshire 2nd Volunteer Battalion other ranks spiked blue cloth helmet early 20th century, helmet with original silver coloured metal cross piece with spike, rose bosses supporting a leather backed chin strap / chain, to the front is a silver coloured metal King's Crown helmet plate, the centre with regimental badge on a purple velvet field, marked '2nd VOLr BATTn DERBYSHIRE', the interior with leather sweatband, stamped with retailer 'Samuel Brothers London', and a handwritten name possibly 'Gerrard Brunell'?. *Right hand side of cork helmet with tear to rim just below boss, light wear to leather trim, chin strap loose and stretched, overall very good.
