Lined saddle-pad, lateral parts of carpet type, with polychrome decorations. Damaged internal part. Very scarce. length 47 cm.

Good original frame with original gallery label verso. Not lined. There is some possible light blue retouching just to the right of the first low building on the left hand side - this does not show under UV but is a little different in shade to the remainder of the sky.

Light pencil booksellers' marks to ffeps. WW2: Some fading to spines and vol.6 has fading to part of leather to front cover. Very light foxing to page edges and front free endpapers. All cloth boards have some pale speckled spotting.
An unusual dipped basalt ware bottle vase with cover, possibly Wedgwood, early 20th century, unmarked, the globular light blue body below a pink dipped flared neck with double ring collars and moulded rim, the capstan cover with ball finial, 10½in. (26.7cm.) high.* Condition: Very good condition. Tiny flake to end of plug on cover. A few tiny pale flecks in the biscuit paste from the making. No other damage or restoration.
