Nikki Luna Philippines (1977- ) Contemporary Artist. Light-box, Resin and Lace Sculpture, approx 28 x 26 x 10 cms.The revolver forms part of a body of work entitled 'Play Ground' an exhibition held at the Owen James Gallery in Brooklyn. In this exhibition Nikki Luna has revealed the culture of rape and repression. The exhibition made up of fifteen revolvers, a significant number as in many cultures it marks the age of a girl's transition to womanhood. The sculptures are made of resin infused with lace, a fabric that the artist associates with femininity a fine, delicate fabric used in lingerie and bridal wear. Each revolver in the series is inspired by real-life events of trauma and aggression perpetrated against young vulnerable women.

SGT PEPPER'S LP & ASK ME WHY - MISPRESSINGS. Fascinating offering of 2 x extremely unusual mispressings! Titles are Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band - at first glance a typical nice original UK stereo pressing (PCS 7027 -1/-1 'Sold In UK', 'The Gramophone Co.' label text and 'Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd.' sleeve text). However the 'mix' of the majority of the record is rather unusual - at many times the vocals are extremely far back in the mix and as such are at a very much lower dynamic (noted on With A Little Help From My Friends and When I'm Sixty Four). The instrumentation is also very much more 'stripped' back which is noted greatly on Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds - it sounds like a demo! The record grades as Ex with only a couple of light hairline markings with the sleeve very clean Ex too. Complete with 2 unused cut-outs (no red inner). Also with a mispressing of Hawkwind - Silver Machine 7" picture disc (UPP 35381) which plays the fab four's Ask Me Why on the B side (record is in Ex+ condition).

The records (original 'Sold In UK', 'Mfd In UK' no EMI, -1/-1/-1/-1 matrix) are in VG+ condition with some quite light surface/scuff markings, none of which are of a heavier nature. Complete with the poster, photos, spacer and black inners all in excellent condition.
