Fabrication spéciale de vestes et de vêtements de travail pour cuisiniers, charcutiers, bouchers et garçons de salle, tipped-in folding lithographed plate printed on both sides, wood-engraved illustrations, occasional spotting or light staining, lightly browned, folds and creases, original pictorial wrappers, folds and creases, some staining, 8vo, Paris, [c.1895].⁂ A rare little trade catalogue issued by this Parisian department store founded in 1785, which had branches in Reims, Nice and London. Included on the inside back cover is a list of cookery books for sale. The illustrations show various confectionery utensils, knives, paté moulds, and display pieces, along with uniforms for chefs, butchers and waiters.

Single leaf, illuminated manuscript in Latin, on vellum, in a very small gothic bookhand, 49 lines, written in light black ink, some rubrication, 3 2-line initials with blue and red decoration, 3 small flaws (one in text), a few very small holes in margins, vellum creased, 211 x 150mm., [?Paris], [c. 1300]; and c. 20 other pieces, early printed ff. and fragments some from a German Chronicle, some with contemporary or early hand-colouring, v.s., v.d. A mid 20th Century silver guilloche enamel compact set comprising cigarette case, circular compact, Ronson lighter and lipstick holder with sweetpea decoration (by Henry Clifton Davis, Birmingham 1952 and 1953), total weight of compact approx 8 oz, cigarette case approx 10.5 cm long CONDITION REPORTS There does not appear to be any damage to the enamel on these pieces. A silver cigar case (by Nathaniel Mills, Birmingham 1846), bears the crest of the Forbes Leiths of Whitehaugh, Alford Aberdeenshire, one of the eagle feeding chicks, inscribed "Virtus Vulnere Virescit", another with stag's head inscribed "Salus Per Christum" and another with dove and olive branch inscribed "Fidus Ad Extremum", the main body engraved with large castle and smaller country house verso, within scrolling foliate decoration, marked "CFL" (Charles Forbes Leith), 2.42 oz CONDITION REPORTS Light surface scratch, accretions, some small pin prick holes on the lid and base, cleaning fluid residue inside, small split to front of lid, small dent to the top of the lid. ~General wear and tear commensurate with age and use. A George V silver hip flask (by James Dixon & Sons, Sheffield 1921), the removable base with gilt-washed interior as cup, 13 cm high, total weight approx 7 oz CONDITION REPORTS No visable signs of any dents, splits or damage though there is surface scratching though out conducive to age and use, the top appears to work and shuts tight, see images for futher details. No dents or dings, minor scratches to the surface conducive with age and use. To one edge there is a slight dark line which may possibly be a repair though might alos be part of the original construction as this solder line is continued at the top of the shoulder - see images. There is a very small light surface dent on the same side - see images.
An 18 carat gold and diamond set cluster ring, approx 0.6 carats of which the central diamond approx 0.4 carats, size K, total weight approx 3 g CONDITION REPORTS In answer to the questions - are the diamonds lively and of a relatively good colour - we would comment yes. The metalwork shows signs of wear and light scratching condicive with age and use but as to other damage the ring is basically sound.
An Albany Fine China limited edition figure of a Kingfisher, modelled by David Burnham Smith, No'd. 597 with certificate, approx 39.5 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Overall good condition with some light surface scratches, accretions, etc. There is a repair to one of the petals. A pair of pierced brass Continental table lamps, a Chinese blue and white and gilt metal table lamp of small proportions, a Doulton Burslem pottery oil lamp with brass reservoir and frosted glass shade, a modern porcelain table lamp decorated with tie-backs and a pewter oil lamp reservoir. Sizes approx 62cm high. CONDITION REPORTS Oil lamp reservoir with no signs of serious damage though with wear conducive with age and use throughout particularly to the guilding down to the brass in most areas. The burner appears to be missing certainly no wick. can see no signs of the action other than the turning button. Other pieces inthis lot again with wear and tear conducive with age and use. The glass shade is basically sound though has two chips to the base of the rims - see images. The frosting has some signs of light blemishes/dirt only visible on close inspection - see images for further detail
A Victorian walnut cased table top polyphone, the top with marquetry inlaid panel and blind fretwork decorated frieze opening to reveal the movement No'd. 31069 (circa 1890), together with approximately 80 various discs. Size approx 32cm wide x 55cm wide CONDITION REPORTS The mechanism does appear to work though is dirty throughout so could probably benefit from a good clean/sympathetic restoration. The movement is a double comb, the discs are 39.5cm diameter. There is a winding key with the piece although whether it is the original is not known. The case whilst basically sound requires restoration in several areas where the veneers have lifted or been damaged. There is light surface scratching and discolouration throughout - see images for further details.

THE DALTON BOYS - ALTERNATE MIX ACETATE OF TAKE MY HAND. Super rare and possibly unique version of Take My Hand presented on an uncut single sided 10" acetate. Recorded in Hitsville in August 1965 this version appears to have been rejected as "more voice presence needed". The playing surface of the 7" record on 10" acetate is in excellent condition with just a couple of light marks. The printed labels have the number "CBMN-2508-NH1", date of "8/30/65", track time of "2.43" and track name and group down as "Take My Heart / The Dalton Boys" although heart has been crossed out in black ink and corrected to "Hand". The acetate is still in its original Transco Products Corp. sleeve. Includes invoice from when it was originally purchased.
