Lot of two denarii of Antoninus Pius, rare legend and overdate. (0h). . (1) Rare initial long obverse legend of Pius in 151 AD, omitting the normal HADR. 2.59g, 5h. Obv: IMP CAES T AEL ANTONINVS A[V]G PIVS P P Head laureate right. Rx: TRANQ in exergue, TR POT XIIII - COS IIII around, Tranquillitas standing right holding rudder and two wheat ears. This legend variant without HADR was first recorded on a single coin in the Reka Devnia hoard, which was the only specimen known to BMC 736 note and Strack 228. (2) Overdate: tribunician number XIIII altered in the die to XV. 152 AD. 3.15g, 6h. Obv: as previous coin, but with HADR. Rx: PAX in exergue (mostly off flan), TR POT XV (altered from XIIII) - COS IIII around, Pax standing left holding branch and scepter. Reverse legend variant (overdate) of BM 749, Cohen 585 corr., and RIC 216a. (1) A few light scratches, small pit at 2-3h on obverse edge, otherwise Good EF. (2) Good VF

NEAC - ?O?EWC Gallus and Volusian, both togate, stand facing each other, each extending patera over altar between them with right hand and holding short scepter in left; between their heads, Mt. Gerizim between star and crescent. Harl, Neapolis, Museum Notes 29, 1984, no. 120 (A28-P113), pl. 13 (mislabeled 121), citing Rosenberger 112. Apparently only the second recorded specimen of this interesting type. Light smoothing, band of radiate crown and hair above forehead tooled. Repatinated after its appearance in Gemini VII. VF Ex Gemini VII, 9 January 2011, lot 867 (Dr. Patrick Tan Collection) Harl seems to have misidentifed the obverse die of the Rosenberg specimen of this coin as being his A27, when in fact it is his A28. Our coin is definitely from his A28, the same obverse die as his catalogue no. 124, pl. 13 = SNG ANS 1034

An 1854 pattern Welsh Guards officer's sword by Wilkinson, in leather scabbard CONDITION REPORTS Blade length approx 81.5cm. There does not appear to be a number to the blade, but the knuckle guard has "RA 973-6885 1977" scratched into it, and the metal mount to the scabbard is inscribed "WS 96 127 9993". Overall some light general wear and a few scuffs and knocks to the guard, but generally appears in tidy condition.
A brass ship's light with clear glass cylindrical shade with brass plaque "Not Under Command" CONDITION REPORTS Wear, tarnish, dents. Glass with quite a lot of damage - large cracks and chips. Has "CB & Co Ld 9X7" etched to the glass. Not known whether or not complete - please see photos. Height including handle and loop to top is approx 60cm.
A pair of George V silver bonbon dishes with gadrooned edge, raised on a circular pedestal foot (Birmingham, 1921) CONDITION REPORTS Both very tarnished, have heavier sratches to the bowl interiors conducive with age and use, as well as light surface scratches/scuffing all over, basees are partially stamped possibly "sterling" to underside of bases. Both have general wear etc, conducive with age and use.

Browning, stains and discolouration, creases and wrinkles. Typed text glued on and handwritten text beneath is partly visible. Ink stamp and inscriptions verso are visible through paper.

A modern cream painted Simon Horn full tester bedstead in the early 19th Century taste with acanthus carved cluster column decoration, together with fabric coloured base, mattress, together with a collection of Zoffany fabric fittings / drapes CONDITION REPORTS Light general wear and scuffs, and a few small splits, but generally frame appears in reasonably tidy order. Velcro needs re-attaching. Cornice is in sections and requires reassembling/reattaching. General wear and slight dirt to fabric, and some losses to trims, but fabric generally appears in reasonable order. It is not known whether or not all items are complete.
A set of ten mid to late 20th Century Scandinavian chrome framed reception chairs with suede upholstered back panel and seat on rectangular section supports united by stretchers . CONDITION REPORTS All chairs are in used condition with general knocks, bumps and scratches to the chrome framework conducive with general use, upholstery is faded with staining throughout (particularly visible because of the light colour of the upholstery) and in quite used condition, all chairs appear to be in sold sound condition with no obvious signs of rusting, would all benefit greatly from being cleaned and re-upholstered, a couple of the chairs show signs of mildew damage where the material is deteriorating badly in places, may possibly have previously been stored in an outbuilding.
Two pairs of silk interlined curtains, the white and green striped ground set with floral sprays together with a matching bedspread CONDITION REPORTS Curtains : size approx. 180 cm long x 250 cm wide. Overall with some light general wear and dirt, some fading and a few stains, but overall condition appears to be reasonably good.
