Capt Montmorency served with the 33rd Foot at Sebastopol, Redan and Indian Mutiny, joined 32nd Foot September 1861 and served in Abyssinia, S Africa, commanded frontier field force Sudan and The Nile 1889, then India. He retired in 1900 as Hon General Viscount De Montmorency
