GC (cleaned pitting to hilt and scabbard, patches of fishskin missing from grip, scabbard throat AF)

An early Vic 1822 pattern infantry officer’s sword, very slightly curved, pipe back blade 32½", by C Herbert & Co, London, etched with crowned VR cypher and wreath within panels, regulation gilt brass hilt with turn down inner section, incorporating crowned VR cypher, wirebound fishskin grip, in an associated brass mounted leather scabbard with escutcheon of "Nicholls...London" on the locket. GC (blade sharpened for service, a little wear and light pitting, approx 60% hilt gilt rubbed, scabbard leather AF)

A late Vic 1821 pattern heavy cavalry officer’s sword, almost straight fullered blade 35", by Wilkinson no 31110 (1891), etched with crowned R Arms and cypher within elaborate panels, regulation ‘honeysuckle’ hilt, and a Geo 1803 pattern light company infantry officer’s sabre, broad curved blade 29", gilt brass cross guard and lion’s head pommel (knucklebow missing), both with wirebound fishskin grips. GC (some wear and light pitting, scabbard replated)

Militaria: A Waterloo medal awarded to Sergeant John Kilbanks of the 52nd Foot regiment. Wreathed George head, verso with Waterloo, Wellington and June 18th 1815 date, engraved Serj. John Kilbanks 1st Batt 52nd reg foot. Sgt Kilbanks served in Captain Chalmer's company for waterloo and was not wounded. He joined the 52nd in Nov 1814 as bandmaster and was discharged August 1821, having served previously in 10th light dragoons, 4th foot, and 7th light dragoons.Medal on ring suspension with blue and red stripe ribbon.
